They believe all of it. I hear it at my gym everyday.

Foreign students generally pay full tuition, at least at the undergraduate level. That is what pays the freight for Harvard's policy to provide full financial aid for American kids whose parents are below certain income levels. I guess those American kids don't matter.

At this ooint, Trump's "public facade" and dark private personality are merging. This will be a delightful experience.

MAGA sees Medicaid cuts as a legitimate federal cost containment measure, with the billions diverted into tax cuts for the wealthy as a deserved benefit to "job creators". You have to watch Fox News a lot to swallow this nonsense.

GOP hearings attacking President Biden for not evacuating all the Afghan refugees has now been replaced by GOP bureaucrats kicking those that did make it here out of the country. I am sure they will get a warm welcome from the Taliban.

I didn't think Trump would cave to China this quickly, but the TACO stock trade worked! (TACO = Trump Always Chickens Out)

Yes.

Medicare with 60+ million enrolled would supposedly now be required to negotiate prices... that's a huge market for Pharma. But I read that a similar order died in the courts last time he tried it in 2020.

The irony is that RFK Jr.'s Uncle Jack (JFK) came near to death from scarlet fever as a child. He was sometimes weak and sickly. Now his nephew wants kids like him put on the chopping block. Disgusting.

I know, it's sickening.

Dems overthink and struggle to articulate a clear, simple quality of life narrative that resonates. AOC and Bernie examples that Dems need to learn from.

Exactly! They bash Trump to make some cash on corporate media, while secretly pining for the good ol' days when Ronnie, W and Mitt were their heroes.

Scumbags.

I'm not invited either, but Krusteaz pancakes are the bomb.

That's what happens when a country decides that the wealthy can profit from healthcare.

1. Trump's bungling of COVID was fresh on voters' minds in 2020. Memories are short. 2. In '24, Dems acknowledged inflation but offered little hope. Trump lied and said "prices will go down Day One". Lying works, especially when delivered by a master propagandist. 3.

We still pay taxes to finance massive tax give aways to the richest people on Earth, and to massage the egos of space junkies, kleptocrats and their hangers on. They want our money, and the regime is giving it to them.

Recessions can drive down prices. Oligarchs and billionaires love a bargain. But Trump is also stoking inflation, so we will see.

There goes literally billions in tax revenue. What a mistake.

I will bet that ship probably sailed a long time ago. It would be surprising if they did not already have the data or at least huge amounts of it.

Lots of coverage about Tesla shares tanking because customers don’t want to be associated with a fascist etc. But what if the problem is that it’s a poorly run company whose CEO is absentee, whose most iconic product is falling apart, & that now seems to have misplaced $1.4B bsky.app/profile/bloo...

True.

Schumer is delusional if he thinks Republicans are ever going back to what they were pre-MAGA.

Why was Roberts silent while Trump was threatening the families and staff of the judges overseeing his many criminal cases?

I think people are just becoming aware and realizing that the unthinkable is going to be thrust upon them. We will push back and in the long run I don't think they achieve what they want.

Prediction: Trump will decide alongside Putin what price in territory and resources Ukraine must pay to end the war, or to even procure a cease fire. The Ukrainians will be told to take it or leave it, and by leaving it they will give up US support. Catch 22.

So Elon is just a pure, innocent technorat with a love of chainsaws?

We're gonna find out pretty quickly, I hope.

Legitimate political discourse.

They would do it for less.

Something (like knowing how MAGA operates) tells me that this Jeddah meeting will not go well for Ukraine. The Trump administration will weave together whatever story they choose to justify abandoning our (former) ally in favor of Putin.

Sounds like something Trump cooked up with his buddy Vlad.

There aren't nearly enough competent MAGA lawyers to fail even a fraction of the jobs she hopes to eliminate. Looking at you, Alina Habba.

Deporting Ukrainians who fled Putin .... so on-brand for this administration.

Unless federal agencies resume taking grant applications and accepting programs to fund, there will be no money going out despite this ruling. I'm not optimistic. American innovation and leadership is being thrown under the bus.
