Hard to resign in disgrace if she has no shame. Disgrace would require grace.

Phew! Glad I saw this, I may have mistakenly read Politico at any point in the future mistaking it for a legitimate news source. One silver lining of these times in the US is making it very obvious which media outlets are towing the line for authoritarianism and can safely be disregarded.

Only in politics can you not get the job and just announce you're not leaving

Eventually they will be so big it will just be one big thumbnail you see, and you won't get to change it, it will be "this is what you are watching now or GTFO"

I watched the interview, and have to say congratulations Prof, it was a really interesting interview. Must be a huge check off of the bucket list!

The audacity of these people to use the same slogan as Barack Obama is just astounding. Can't wait for election results to be in, Cons lose big, and the news to change to "Conservative Party seeks new leadership".

I'm assuming there are going to be more versions of Spiderman, because how in the WORLD you don't make a Blue/Red, or White/Blue/Red, or Blue/Black/Red Spiderman and end up on only White/Blue is universes beyond me.

I've also found Affinity Photo/Designer are decent alternatives to Adobe, although not free (but still affordable), and they got acquired by Canva 2024, the license is currently a single purchase, not a subscription. Will check out Krita!

Define outrageous. I'm sure if you figure out the cost-per-brick it's probably reasonable. Life is for living, money is for spending, LEGO is for building. It is adorable.

It's fun watching people re-discover that Piers Morgan is a grifter every few years. He plays the "centrist" angle consistently enough that it's almost believable. He's the type of personality that gives right wingers plausible deniability in regards to their unwavering bias.

One of the EA Skate games sort of had this! It was a minigame where the challenge was to break as many bones as possible. The damage didn't persist though.

Piers Morgan is the perfect example that wearing a suit does not make you a serious person

The only thing Twitter has going for it at this point is a large (diminishing) user base. That's what Elon bought, but will only last so long. As twitter gets worse, the users more toxic, the bots more prevalent, people will bail.

Just realizing this now, but we really missed the opportunity to coin a term like Obamanomics

I mean, I'd take that bet. The growth is great, and Bluesky is hopefully the next twitter, but I don't see 300 million new accounts in a year.
