I can't go five minutes without seeing some clout chasing plonker on here posting people doing nazi salutes. So unnecessary

Make it make sense! 🤦🏻‍♀️

And out of our lives, ideally.

Just a random reminder that trickle-down economics was invented by conservatives in the 1980s to justify massive tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. It’s been nothing short of a disaster.

For those that didn’t believe me when I said Trump is gonna try to run again in 2028…

When was the last time a chairman of the joint chiefs was fired? Seriously.

And it's going to get much worse!

Regardless of how much coverage it gets, Trump aiming to install a military command that places loyalty to him above loyalty to the constitution needs to be a much bigger story.

Usually when states go to court alleging federal coercion in violation of the 10th Amendment there is not a literal video of the President doing it.

This is very, very bad. Am working on a write-up, but let’s just say that firing military leaders for blatantly political reasons is wildly inappropriate; firing all the too lawyers is ominous; firing them all at the same time is a terrifying five-alarm fire

Soon it will be too late. Congress must act. Republicans deserve relentless protests and demands for their acquiescence to this man solidifying power to overrun our democracy.

who’s gonna do it, who will be the hero we needed

Trump just fired the nonpartisan Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Chairman Brown is a respected leader and an accomplished fighter pilot. Trump is trying to stack the military with loyalists who will put what’s best for Trump over what’s best for America.

We are already at the ‘purging the generals and replace them with loyalists’ part of the Trump second term, just five weeks in. Totally normal. Not dangerous at all

So the President not only fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. He also fired the top JAGs at the Army, Navy and Air Force. Those are the lead people who determine what is a legal order and what is not. So if you're planning to do things that are illegal they're the most obvious obstacle.

Is America great yet?

If Trump gets the military it's as close to game over as you can get for trying to claw back democracy.

Donald Trump’s firing of military leaders — four-star General Brown and four-star Admiral Franchetti — along with top legal officers is a betrayal of legions of first rate service members who dedicate their lives to our nation’s defense. This is a growing national security risk.

If you don’t think Trump is taking over the US Mail to do away with mail-in voting, you haven’t been paying attention.

Donald Trump is NOT a Republican. He is a pawn of a long-running intelligence operation by the Russian SVR and GRU.

when you've (already) lost Larry Kudlow ...

If someone wanted to destroy the United States from within, would they do anything differently than what Trump is doing right now?

It’s a cult.

Sure Trump fired the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the CNO....but they fired the top JAG's in the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Why would you fire the top lawyers in the armed services at night on a Friday? That's the part you should be freaking out about.

I want to salute the Governor of Maine Janet Mills who, in that room with a raging Trump and silent complicitors, stood her ground and said, “see you in court!” Maine residents, show your support for your Gov for standing up for your independence.

the fact that this is just a straightforward retelling of yesterday's events without hyperbole

A defining policy battle is about to come to a head in this country. The Republican budget will force everyone - especially Congress and the White House - to make plain whether they are prepared to harm the rest of us in order to fund tax cuts for the wealthiest.

I must've missed the part in the Constitution that says Congress shall be a eunuch.

"The larger dynamic is that Trump isn’t merely pushing to redefine the boundaries of the law or even the Constitution," Jonathan Chait writes. "He is rejecting the principle that the law constrains him at all."

another thing every other president in history would be impeached for just happened

Republicans could easily stop Trump and Musk’s liquidation of government functions their constituents rely on. Just a small handful—literally single digits—could work with Democrats and end it. Instead they meekly go along while privately begging for dispensation. www.politico.com/news/2025/02...

Kakistocracy. Try using it in a sentence today. There will be plenty of opportunities.

beyond parody

remarkable that the White House cannot just say that Putin is responsible for Putin's war

People need to understand this: Trump did not leave office willingly the first time. If his health holds up, he will not leave office willingly this time. He is not joking about serving more than two terms.

My criteria for the 2028 presidential election: • We have one. • We win it.
