Maybe? Where I went to school is around 20 miles north of London, and it was definitely used there. So I'm not sure how much further out the word was used.

It was like calling a girl a slag or a slut. But at my school sket implied they were also dirty/unwashed, like "how could someone sleep with a girl who was so physically gross". I don't know if that was a thing elsewhere though.

The "men in women's bathroom" argument has always baffled me. If a man intends to assault a woman in the women's bathroom, he's going to do it anyway. Is he really going to bother pretending to be a woman? I highly doubt it.
