God, it’s such a good explosion. The way the mushroom cloud is so well illuminated by the internal flames. Absolutely peak.

They should lean into it. Go fully deep, bearded, gravelly voiced queen like the Dwarves.

They were not as nice as hoped.

For her neutral special, she has a gun.

But I also think that there is some level of the recommender being defensive. They know the flaws, possibly intimately after reading and rereading. So they don’t want a new reader to be put off and accidentally make it sound worse than it is.

I think that is both entirely understandable but also troublesome. An author’s first work is rarely their best. Lord knows Colour of Magic is not the best way to check out Discworld. But then, that’s why series should have jumping on points.

Does that mean systems might be better if they occasionally included a module to run or read at the end of it? Or is this more about having occasional examples of play added to pages in sections? Or even both?

I was thinking I’d need page 30 because I couldn’t find the ‘in’ and tried to connect one ‘out’ to the other.

Love that Speed Racer one.

I think that separating canons by media is probably the only solution. Then people can define by which canon they want to go by and peacefully let the other canons argue amongst themselves. It’s when multiple writers start retconning themselves that real trouble starts.

The walls are breached and the cheese is escaping. It must be eaten quick.

You’re very silly. Don’t put your faith in dirty bedsheets from fraudsters and liars pushing for legitimacy. Look to your higher power, not flawed men or the creations which are even more flawed than themselves.

Maple syrup throws me for a loop but my state loves pouring honey on pizza so I guess it’s not that strange after all.

I swear I’ve seen the same image but with Ranma. I am now forced to wonder if it was an edit, my memory being faulty, or just Rumiko reusing a pin up style.

I’m pretty sure I lost my dvds, and I’ve not had a dvd player in ages. Well this is convenient too.

Night Watch is my absolute favorite of the Watch books. I just finished the re-recorded audiobook version last night and enjoyed that version too.
I still retain my belief that it’s the one Discworld book people shouldn’t start with though. Anything else is fair game.

I don’t mean to imply that you were taking awhile. I meant that I’m glad my favorite is a low dex number. My next fave is Gen 6 so I’ll patiently wait until then.

Woo, glad I never have to wait too long for my favorite to show up. Jiggly is pretty near the top of my list and has been for a very long time.

I have seen this one phrase and I thought it was something like a trigger for remembering how to speak a certain way. Like when I am in roleplay, if I start losing a character’s voice, I have certain phrases to repeat to myself to get it back. Just feeling the specific way the mouth and throat move.

Absolutely love this film and the series it spawned. No matter how cheap or dumb they might have become.

Time to start doing breathing exercises. And then best get used to the pumps if one’s body is, let’s say, overly productive.

I wonder if this version of the trilogy will also cut out the bare minimum of gay content shoved into the background and offered to the public like bread crumbs to a starving person.

Remember, ohana means family and sometimes family means putting family aside so they don’t hold you back from achieving your dreams.

Good sound/can’t see. I don’t want to be perceived either, and I’m there to listen anyway. It’s not a magic show.

That’s a really good one. I wish we could see a lot more of the Lady M. I felt so sorry for Angua too. I could be wrong, but I think this is the first book that really introduces the Igors which I just love anytime one shows up.
You’re in for such a treat.

This sounds like damage=attack-defense. But with a cap. And possibly a set bonus. But it turns any To Hit bonus into free damage, and that’s a significant buff.

There She Is got confusing by the end but I still have a place in my heart for that cat and love struck rabbit.

Fair enough. The apology sounds good and is filled with details. But that’s what professionally written announcements do. I really do want the old intro back. Fingers remain crossed.

A daily log in compensation with people still unable to log in is not great. My biggest gripe was with the story, so they’ve sort of addressed that but almost everything else they’ve offered as apology is pretty sad.
Also, they did not say the opening is coming back, only that they have plans.
