GNU Terry Pratchett.
Started with Pyramids and Guards! Guards!
Never looked back. The man was a genius.

Let me know when you’re heading to Ballater - there’s some cracking runs there. Heartbreak Ridge, Mastermind, Cnoc Dhub. And there’s the new (ish) trail centre at Tarland. I can amateurishly tour guide you if you want, but I would think most will be in Komoot.

Can’t seem to DM you. I think you need to follow me for me to do that. If you’re not wanting to follow, I can just reply here but it’ll be multiple posts cos of character limits.

If your tour takes you to Aberdeenshire, I’d be happy to show you some local trails here.

Rassay has a nice but short run, but you need to catch the ferry at Sconser to get there.

As for Skye, I’m not sure there’s as much there. Despite having some stunning landscapes, the trail fairies don’t seem to have been active there. I’ve heard the Kilmarie to Sligachan trail can be very wet & boggy in places with some river crossings to contend with.

If you are planning to mountain bike Torridon, you will definitely not be disappointed. My happy place 😀
There’s a few options, depending on how long and how technical you want to ride. Most of it is ‘red’ grade, with some small ‘black’ features. Are you ok if I DM you with some options?

They migrated briefly but then went back. Shame really, it’s a nice place here - no ads, no clickbait. Guess the number of followers was too big a prize to leave.
Not much of a consolation, but have a photo of the start of the Achnashellach descent in Torridon to brighten your day.

How the hell can you have any shame? Amazing achievement. Pheidippedes would have been cheering you on from the Elysian Plains.

Sounds perfect for a BillableHour t-shirt. To be honest, that sentiment describes the bulk of my professional life.

In the same way so many brilliant scientific inventions are attributed to the Scottish, we should also celebrate that so many fictional murders are ours too.

Let’s be frank. Is anyone else really even needed? Perfection on a bookshelf.

Please also see 63 year old Kip Winger no longer performing “Seventeen”.

Awesome thread. Thanks!
Tina S’s cover of Through The Fire And Flames is an impressive watch.
I saw Winger supporting Scorpions in Glasgow on that tour. They might have been partway through the tour by then cos I remember being impressed. Probably helped by Kip slapping my outstretched hand 😳

Someone told him the electricity is AC/DC and he’s now on a crusade to make all US electricity heterosexual.
