Finally, when I was 18 and the varicella vax finally existed & I had to establish vaccinations to go to college, I had my titer taken and they told me I was already immune & didn’t need vax, despite having never been sick w/ it.

OH THE ADVENTURE (not)
@ abt 16mo old, I was playing w/ the next door neighbor kids the day before their eldest came down with it, then the middle kid did too, but I was also still breastfeeding and Mom said I had one faint red spot on my forehead that just faded, didn’t even turn blister.

There is no compelling state interest in eviscerating protection against sex discrimination for individuals whose gender identities do not align with their biological sex, as such interest would be permitting sex discrimination towards a minority population, in violation of the policy of the State

...but on the subj of nationalizing things, I really do think that Starlink (and ALL data access providers) should be nationalized since information access is a necessary social right of citizens of any democracy to perform their obligations to the nation.

I've told others they should respond to any complaints about not paying contractual fee obligations to, in that case, SolarCity/Tesla Energy by saying "I didn't make a contract with a company run by a tyrannous plutarch destroying our nation, so get rid of Musk and we can be back in business"

But also, I always read things (DoI, Const) as “these types of people may try to rise; it’s justified to shut them out or take them out”

Calling someone a king carries a certain amount of implicit, automatic acknowledgment that they *are* one. Those other terms don’t carry that acknowledgment.

Well, I don’t think others besides Simple English have actual *versions of* Wikipedia, but that’s where I know I first learned about E-Prime: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-Prime

…but also, I felt it was reasonable rep for the spot on my nose that bends sharply where you smacked your head into it while I was watching you play X-Wing when we were 13 or 14.

I don’t even remember anymore when it was I first learned about the projects for variants of English (including Simple English), but I do know it was *before* “Up-Goer Five” was a thing.

It’s me but it’s from a simplistic user pic generator and the nose scar was embedded with the freckles iirc

I mean, tbf I’m thinking along the lines of “get a strip of 2-by that you’ve checked to be trued up and attach it temporarily” class of jigs and not something with a meaningful price tag associated.

This is the kind of problem circular-saw tracks (and thence, track saws) were made for solving. Maybe you can slap together a jig?

Do you still need Tengwar? I can do Tolkien’s own English mode, and either transcription or translation to Sindarin and/or Quenya in their associated modes
