There was substantial funding approved by congress after lengthy negotiations. So Biden did what he could. This was in the old days when the president had limited authority.

Gene, since you know how to reach the national Democratic leadership I have a suggestion. Ask them to send surveys only to persons who have donated and NEVER require donations as part of the survey. And send the survey results to those who have donated. And add a comment field to the surveys.

I frequently receive strategy surveys by mail from Democratic Party senators etc. They always require a donation to go through so masquerading as surveys. To generate value the surveys should state that no monetary support is required. The results should also be mailed back to all participants.

So now those of us who care about truth in media need to get very active and publish on X and Meta every time we read false information that needs to be corrected? And suffocate lies by posting millions of corrections.
