I don't prefer QB run to the pass. But I believe you don't let the defense off the hook by not making them deal with the dual aspect of the greatest dual threat of all time.
2 designed runs would have been fine in the divisional round. At least they'd believe we'd run it.

Yeah that's crazy misfortune turned into a great thing.

Exactly. Becton is one of the few NFL players Lamar played with in college

Get at least one established vet blocker.

Interesting. Not even targeting a lineman in free agency?

There appears to be an agenda at play. Time will tell the truth.

I agree. If you are so antigovernment that you are willing to try to attempt to overthrow the federal government, you should not be allowed a paycheck from the government or the ability to affect it from within.

It's scary to think that this time around the damage may be hard to come back from.

With that definition, I'd say that's fair.

Bum is harsh. Not prepared to meet the moment is more appropriate.

No it's not. Folks get too caught up in where you get picked in the first. In most cases, each team gets 1 first round pick. So, if you use yours at 2 or at 31, it is your first shot to bring in a guy to help your team.

I'm with you on that idea for 1st Rd talent. But riskier to me is freak athlete with crazy production in college. That way if it doesn't work out fans understand why we tried.
I would never have drafted Oweh in the first. But Chase Young made sense even though he didn't work out.

I liked Queen as a pass rusher from the stand up LB position. But I didn't like him in the 1st Rd. The value wasn't there to me as a stand up LB.

I agree. I think a disruptive defender is more valuable than a good offensive player. Because the rules are against the defense. If you can thrive in today's rules on defense then you are rare.

That would be ideal.

My friend, if only it were that easy to draft a top 3 all time safety on purpose. We didn't know Ed Reed was going to be Ed Reed when we drafted him.

It gets worse. For QBs that have played 8 playoff games at least, Lamar is an extreme outlier for his defense not forcing any turnovers.

We are prepared this time. It's a matter of execution.

The preparation is having Derrick Henry, Likely, and Andrews. You can't load the box enough to stop Lamar, Henry, Likely, and Andrews up the middle/horizontally in the run game and in the pass game.
They have to respect the playaction.

The pathway for victory shouldn't include 25+ passes.

Getting too cute works sometimes, but it always comes with a risk. Teams that have to get cute usually do so because they have a talent deficiency or they are desperate.
That flee flicker that the Bills ran against us cost them.
We should not pass more than 20 times.

It could be close but it should be a better than one possession win if we don't overcomplicate things and get too cute.
