This one for me, too. Each student in my sixth grade class had to stand up & recite it to everyone else in the class. I was the first student ready to recite & still know it.
Also, memorized "The Mewlips" (Tolkien) & "Richard Cory" by Robinson. My mom has "The Deacon's Masterpiece" memorized.

I realize now that *I* was one of those erratic skiers, gawking along, looping back & forth, suddenly slowing down or even stopping - sending signals that I was going to turn off, & then continuing, etc. I had no idea the calculus the experienced skiers (& boarders) were doing to adjust.

I'd start with MMR if I were you, but follow it with Tdap pretty quickly. And don't forget that HPV vaccinations are recommended for everyone under 26 (and some older than that based on conversations with your doctor).

1. Eugenics, again. We've had this warped "survival of the fittest" escalating for a while.
2. It illustrates the need for core curricula at colleges/universities to include philosophy, literature, world history, social sciences. Techbros lacking critical thinking/empathy skills has led to this.

Important election (primary) in WI in April for their state supreme court, as well.
And there are a BUNCH of primary elections for mayors of major cities this year. VA and NJ have off-year elections for their governors. Etc. Lots to do. League of Women Voters is a good place to plug in.

I bet that if an endowed professorship (or 7) were established via donations, though, Musk couldn't sledgehammer those positions. So, this is my plea - please spread the word - maybe someone with the funds to make this happen, will see this, and save #Haskell.

Because the federal government is the employer at Haskell, which brings #NativeAmerican students from all over the country together for college - the university can't "use its own money" to replace the terminated professors & staff. Haskell could lose its accreditation.

She has her passport, so even if it passes, she's OK for now. And you're absolutely correct - right now, it would still need to pass the Senate after passing the House, and that would mean 7-10+ Democratic Senators supporting it, which I don't foresee.

REUs provide undergrad STEM students to with research experience. They are difficult to win - "harder than getting into grad school," I am told. An opportunity for students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds, to experience research & grow skills.

I am a volunteer advocate for an organization and travel to DC. The Cannon Office Building (one of the office buildings that houses Representatives) has big signs up telling people not to drink the water because of the lead in the pipes. o.O

We have brought our American flag to Pride and to the BLM march here, because it freaks the fascists out to see it flying with the progressives.
And my military family members (who are mostly progressives) don't need to see the flag only flown by fascists.

I really think the response will continue to be, "Oh, you're just paranoid/hysterical."
Half will believe that; the other half will be gaslighting that half and the person telling them about the dictatorship.

This is going to be a great way for Alaskans to know what to expect from tourists. If they say, "Mount McKinley," then Alaskan servers, retail workers, etc. will know exactly how poorly those people will tip, how disrespectful those people will be. #Denali
