For this #screenshotsaturday I did some #WIP previs for a warp-in animation as ships spawn into the combat level. Next steps are to add more variance, some dirtiness, longer travel distance in the stretch portion and to refine the blue flash. Overall a pretty cool first pass! #indiegame #solodev

The droplet-core nuclear rocket: doi.org/10.2514/6.19... Uranium can stay liquid under 100 bars at 7500K. Droplets would rain through a chamber filled with hydrogen before being spun out by a vortex and quenched on lithium. 2000-3000s Isp with much less hassle than gas-cores!

I recently skirted burnout doing optimization but thanks to that work I can now use a more computationally expensive trajectory prediction model that's way more stable! This enables smarter NPCs + more missiles during combat, which means crazier battles and more explosions! #indiedev #scifi #space
