And now that the systems are compromised, they can never be considered secure again. Ever. There’s always a chance of a back door being installed that will evade detection. There was a breach at USPS years ago, and they’ll STILL looking.

Goddamit, I was a sysadmin at USPS, and there were layers upon layers of authentication and access restrictions to protect everything. The fact that the sysadmins at Treasury just pulled down their shorts on order is appalling.

About the only example I can offer of decently paid (relatively) delivery persons were the bicycle legal couriers, who rode packets of legal documents all over the San Francisco business district, because they were faster than cars. Once electronic documents were allowed, they withered away :(
