Incredibly chilling and clear-eyed piece from @frank-bowman.bsky.social spelling out the implications of Trump’s latest executive orders—which, stripped of their muddled legalese, essentially anoint him as a monarch with absolute power. slate.com/news-and-pol...

One Governor had the balls to do anything during the public whipping Trump just gave them. Democrats clearly have zero fight in them. And folks like AOC can’t be expected to do this by themselves.

Good morning, I’m at the Luigi Mangione hearing today in Manhattan. There’s a truck with a digital billboard outside already. Protest planned for 1pm and hearing for 2:15pm. Will post updates!

Imagine if we did this to Republican Governors who withhold health insurance from their citizens. Democrats are so weak, and now these guys get to hog up all the strong man oxygen on nonsensical culture war bullshit

The next big test will be the funding fight. Dems shouldn't even come to the table. Lets Republicans own the entire process. I doubt it. Jeffries seems keen on bipartisanship.

Jasmine Crockett needs to be in leadership. She needs to be the face of this party.

Really wish folks like Ezra Klein and Jon Stewart would stop interviewing the same fucking people who got us here. Hearing another Democrat defend private health insurance, only for me to look up where he gets his campaign $$$ from. Stop wasting our time.

Where are all the Dem consultants who supposedly do "comms" work at? Where's the website put together with succinct talking points, one pagers, posters that folks can easily download, print and pass out in their communities? Why aren't they doing this work PRO-BONO?

trying to imagine how loud the calls for my firing would be if i didn’t know who FDR was

Why take anything, any job, seriously when idiots like this are in management, running our political offices, operating major corporations? Idiots run the world now. I want no part in it.

On the brink of losing my job. My spouse has lost hers. Her father thinks this. Said this to us with a straight face. Almost made me burst out laughing.

The federal firings this weekend happened while Democratic Senators were out of town for a four day weekend. Our government was harmed. Imagine what D Senators could have done— going to agencies, going to fired workers’ houses, doing videos w/ the great people who were fired. @schumer.senate.gov

It’s a big club

I used to think this. But now I’m not so sure. Trump not only owes Musk; he seems to fear him, much as he seems to fear Putin.

Speaking at an anti-DOGE rally, 85 year old congressman Steny Hoyer references a Reagan appointee who served in his first term circa 1980s (I had to look this up). "You remember the name Don Devine? That was patty cake compared to Russell Vought."

this is the preview image for a video Hakeem Jeffries' official youtube account just posted lol

hakeem jeffries is so much worse at his job than nancy pelosi it's making me question my war on the gerontocracy

So cute it’s a big fucking ha ha joke to these losers, This is why I have zero faith in most democrats. They benefit from this system. They agree with this system. And they’ll never work to actually change this system. You’re gross, @markwarner.bsky.social

Oppressed groups are not going to go gently into that good night, LOL.

Take an honest look at the people around you, and let your gut feeling decide.

I am really outdone. The Maryland National Guard cannot celebrate Frederick Douglass, the state’s native son and perhaps the greatest American this nation ever produced, because he’s Black and his chosen birthday happened to fall during Black History Month. (Ask me why he had to choose is b-day)

30K people think tweeting on X is leading from the front. Fuck me man

Ngl this tweet is pretty fucking scary

I’m having great difficulty right now seeing how our political system doesn’t devolve into violence.
