Basic biology eludes her.

I'm in. You?

Today I went to a spin class at my gym. First time with new (dude) instructor. Lots of rock music which I'm digging because usually it's a ton of edm. Halfway through an awesome class, the song is "smack my bitch up". After the class, I ask the instructor if that's really the lyrics (1/2)

My U.S. Rep, a Democrat, held a town hall and explicitly said that THE REASON she was speaking out louder now was because she got so many calls and emails. DEFINITELY YELL AT THEM. It’s the only language they speak. It’s literally how they gauge public opinion.

I'm 3 chapters in, which is a dangerous time to fall in love with a book (in the same way that my long term therapist said you don't know anything about a relationship, really, until the 6 month mark). But still, possibly one of the most meaningful books I've read in a while.

Citing ‘Biological Truth,’ Kennedy Issues Guidance Recognizing Only Two Sexes www.nytimes.com/2025/02/19/u... It's ridiculous that the NY Times can't fact check or in any way stand up for intersex people much less our trans community. Do better.

Medicaid is a lifeline for millions—including thousands right here in Denver. Today, I hosted a roundtable with health care institutions & advocates to hear firsthand how the GOP's cuts could devastate Denver's most vulnerable patients. Together, we'll ensure everyone gets the care they deserve.

The nonsensical EO "Defending Women..." is based in nothing more than fear mongering and hate. The EO is poorly written nonsense without legal or biological merit. This statement highlights the scientific reality of sex and is grounded in truth, not scare tactics. pedsendo.org/public-polic...

Department of Education FAFSA changes are open for public comment. The changes include requiring trans students to misgender themselves and removes the nonbinary option on forms. Note: comment period is 60 days, and comments are publicly visible. Form here: www.federalregister.gov/documents/20...

Good morning! We're back in the trenches today. We'll be sharing more about why mRNA vaccines are important, employment updates, and covering whatever else comes our way.

I think most people are intuitively aware of this but something like the official White House account posting an “ASMR” video of shackled immigrants is not just cruel for its own sake, it’s intentional envelope-pushing to ramp up to desensitization over inhumane detention, camps, and deaths

ok but like, how are we getting any work done. i'm trying to tippy tap away at my silly little keyboard but every fifteen minutes or so the new stupidest thing anyone's ever done happens.

Make your calls. Go to your town halls. Ask your state and local officials what they are doing under state and local law. Rest. Hydrate. Make soup for the hungry. Don’t let people tell you that you’re doing it wrong. Not a sprint. Not a marathon. A relay. Find your team. Thank you.

Playing the daily game of "is it too late in the day to take my ADHD medication?"

NEW — I spoke to a staffer at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about DOJ's threat to pull funding if the org didn't comply with Trump's DEI executive order, and how org leadership rolled over. "Rather than fight back, we chose to sacrifice trans children," they said.

I'm just gonna share two news articles together. No particular reason... www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-a... www.npr.org/2025/02/06/n...

Had my cat's teeth cleaned today and this is the photo they gave me of my cat super high right before anesthesia. 🤣

Sunshine adventure day

Major breaking trans news: The States of Washington, Minnesota, and Oregon have sued the Trump administration to block it from enforcing a national gender affirming care ban for those under 19 years of age. This is the second major lawsuit over Trump's trans ban EO. Docs to come.

denvergazette.com/news/governm... My heart feels so heavy. Ironic that the party for "individual freedom" thinks it's appropriate or acceptable to limit choice and care. Why on earth are we letting politicians decide what appropriate healthcare is?

No thoughts only vibes.

Hey if anyone is considering backing up any datasets for some reason today, the Open Science Framework has free storage up to 5G/private repository, and up to 50G/public repository. (The OSF is run by a 501c3 (Center for Open Science), so if you do this you might also consider making a donation.)

I hope one day to be as snuggled and cozy as my cats are.
