French President Macron visited the White House Monday, and he fact-checked Trump in the Oval Office. When Trump lied saying Europe only loaned money to Ukraine, Macron put his hand on Trump’s forearm, and interrupted, saying: “No, to be frank, we paid 60% of the total effort.” Trump looked shocked.

@rbreich.bsky.social: “For every $1 the IRS spends auditing the top 1%, it can collect $13. For every $1 the IRS spends auditing the top 0.1%, it can collect $26. Laying off 7,000 IRS employees (during tax season) isn't about efficiency. It's about making it easier for the rich to evade taxes.”

More of this!

The screens at the Department of Housing and Urban Development were playing this video this morning

Could…could he not call someone there and ask them to check?

We should send newly confirmed expert, RFK Jr. to Wuhan so he can expose himself to this new virus and let us know if everything is ok. If he looks good after a few months they can send him back home! 😜 I’m sure he wouldn’t want to endanger anyone with vaccines! www.newsweek.com/new-coronavi...

Wow! What a great cover!

I’ve been targeted for death in a bomb threat received at the Principles First Summit where I spoke today. To be clear, I’ve been threatened by far more capable people during my career. It won’t stop my advocacy for democracy and the Constitution: x.com/Acosta/statu...

This is so disturbing. A woman was violently attacked by Republicans at a town hall in Idaho because she had the nerve to speak up. www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-y1...

@chrismurphyct.bsky.social why are you not posting on here first ? You have some great things to say. You are trying some great things. Yet you post on X where 100pct of the replies are meaningless and hateful. It's not all roses here, but the engagement has depth and real convos happen

This was always about cutting the federal government so the tax cuts for the very wealthy don’t expire. This was never about “efficacy.”

Melissa Harris-Perry. Tiffany Cross. Alex Wagner. Joy Reid. I'm sure there's a pattern here but I can't quite put my finger on what it could be. (/s)

Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA): “A program is not waste just because it doesn’t help the richest man in the world. It is not fraud just because he doesn’t like it."

I find it incomprehensible that so many Democratic politicians post on Twitter but NOT on Bluesky. I post on both platforms whenever possible, but I’ll post on Bluesky FIRST. I mean, WTF? 🤬

Absolutely

Fitting

General Brown is a brilliant, amazing leader. I worked at the Air Staff for three years and it was known that he read everything the staff wrote for him. He believes if an analyst took the time to write it, it’s his responsibility to read it. Very few generals do this.

that Trumpers think the US Postal *SERVICE* should be a profit-making enterprise exposes the fallacy in their conception of government

Better not call it a “vaccine” or it might not get approved. Maybe market it as a recreational drug.

I’m not saying we should all panic. But maybe the government shouldn’t shut down all the systems we have for monitoring this situation. www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/artic...

I have identified at least two dozen pardoned Capitol Rioters that are currently attending CPAC in Washington, D.C. —including members of far right extremists groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers. Updates on Pardon Tracker's interactive visualization: embed.kumu.io/39b5108ec4a0...

Republican Senators who voted for RFK Jr. have the best healthcare in the world, paid for by you. They don’t care about what’s going to happen to your kids, your parents, or you.

Holy crap. At his town hall last night, Rep. Rich McCormick compared *his own constituents* who asked him tough and fair questions to January 6 insurrectionists

Can we just seize the Russian assets already and give them to Ukraine? Good lord just do it

Pritzker: If we don’t want to repeat history, then for god’s sake, in this moment, we better be strong enough to learn from it.

This is the most cowardly administration in history.

BREAKING: The Senate confirms Kash Patel as the next FBI Director in a 51-49 vote. His history as an election denier and Trump loyalist raises serious concerns about his ability to fairly lead the nation’s major law enforcement agency.

Stephen Miller brought big Karen energy to this interview. He did everything but ask to talk to Keilar's manager.

This is where we are folks: Trump is siding with Putin, calling for new elections in Ukraine, presumably, so Zelensky can be replaced by a Putin puppet. He also blamed Ukraine for the Russia’s invasion of Ukraine! Remarkable and incredibly embarrassing for our country. I stand with Ukraine 🇺🇦

Support workers!

Katie Britt: "Oversight is back" (In fact, one of the first things Trump did upon returning to the White House was fire inspectors general)

Hey, @msnbc.com. Why do you allow your readers to share articles on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and most other major platforms — but NOT Bluesky? Asking for nearly 32 million users.

Why fire a disabled Army veteran who was helping his fellow veterans? Because the unelected billionaire in charge wants to give his ultra-wealthy friends bigger handouts, of course. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/...

Van Hollen: "Can you imagine FDR in the middle of WW2 saying to Churchill, 'you know, we're not going to continue to help you until you turn over half of your coal and mineral reserves.' That's not how you behave when you want to support a friend who's under attack by an authoritarian like Putin."

I'm watching Canadian officials hold a presser on the Toronto plane crash and remarkably they're not blaming DEI or recklessly speculating about causes. They could never cut it down here in Trumplandia.

🚨BREAKING: In 4-3 decision, Wisconsin Supreme Court reverses lower court decision and DISMISSES voter suppression lawsuit. A big victory for our clients the WI Alliance for Retired Americans and voting rights in Wisconsin. Another stinging loss for the GOP! www.democracydocket.com/cases/wiscon...

First IRS, Now DOGE Busts Its Way Into the Social Security Administration

This should work out just fine, don’t you worry

LIVE: at the U.S. Capitol for a National Day of Protest. 💪💙

Here is my Federal Employment Termination story:

Trump has set up a standoff between countries over the Ukraine war And he’s siding with Vladimir Putin’s Russia over NATO While inconsequential hypocrites within the GOP cheer for the potential demise of an organization that’s helped prevent a third World War for about 80 years

I used to think this. But now I’m not so sure. Trump not only owes Musk; he seems to fear him, much as he seems to fear Putin.
