Everybody should stock up on non-perishable necessities if they're able. The incoming tariffs will make lots of things more expensive, and I have no doubt that domestic companies will raise the prices of home-based goods and blame it on tariffs to scam extra money out of shoppers.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory. Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

Now's a good time to grow herbs on your windowsills if you haven't already. Basil, chives, oregano, peppermint, etc. If you want to take a further step you can grow green onions, pea shoots, kale, radishes, lettuce, spinach, and my favorite: garlic. It'll save some money and provide something to do.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

Been playing Last of Us 2 for the first time. I wanted to beat the game before the second season of the show airs. Although I don't think I've reached the halfway mark yet, the graphics are stunning. It's a very beautiful game. The Seattle foliage looks great. The characters look very realistic.

If you've got some spare time, a good meal prep recipe is tuna fried rice. I use white or brown rice (pre-cooked), diced red bell pepper, diced small onion, drained canned tuna, and drained canned beans. You can use whatever seasoning you want. I use basil and black pepper.
