I find that Nature’s ā€œeditorial responseā€ is paywalled rich. There’s been a problem in academic journals for a long time. Is Open Access the answer? Hard to say it is when you still need a paper in one of the big journals to get professorship or to become an IC.

Academia is a hellscape, congratulations for getting out. I know some fabulous scicomm folks that have chosen the same path. I’ve heard some terrible stories about some ICs.
