Any chance that Bedard was fighting through a hand or wrist injury earlier this season? He seemed to get knocked off the puck a lot easier and had more difficulty stick handling. I suspect the coaching change coincided with his recovery.

Injuries have to be a big part of the equation. 1985 Bears were healthy going into the playoffs while the 2006 Bears lost two critical players on defense. And look at the 2024 Lions. It wasn't simply opponents adjusting to their defensive scheme and tendancies.

It was much easier to win 3 in a row when there were between 14 & 16 NFC teams in the the 60s, with the 15th & 16th being terrible expansion teams. And the AFL was a clearly inferior league.

6 shots on goal over the last 3 periods, including the 3rd period of the Tampa Bay game.

Are the Hawks scoreboard watching the Bills Chiefs game? No shots on goal for 10 minutes and down 2-0.

Alan Page to the Bears in 1978? A Hall of Famer who was considered washed, then was really effective for 3+ years playing a different scheme under Buddy Ryan.

If you had engaged him longer, he would have slipped in "the Demokkkrat" party" in a future post.

Malcom's real name is Boris, or Vladimir or Yuri, or Artemi. I've seen this mipovie before years ago.

Joe Biden should release the report himself. And the Supreme Court has already ruled that he has presidential immunity for any official acts as president.

McMahon was an above average QB when healthy. He didn't roll up the gaudy TD stats because they usually handed off to #34 every time they got in the red zone. Most of his TD passes were over 10 yards.

How many Super Bowl winners had below average QB pkay?

If defense wins games, why are quarterbacks so important? I would like to know how many teams won the Super Bowl with below average quarterbacks. Maybe the 87 Redskins? Anyone else?

Nashville being a dumpster fire after adding (on paper) to a roster that outperformed expectations in 23/24.

Really sorry to hear this. Your talent should allow you to replace this gig with another similar gig down the road.

1976 Steelers? Bradshaw got hurt and came back. They relied on the running game but lost both Franco Harrus and Rocky Bleir in the AFC semi finals.

As a lifetime Chicago sports fan, I saw the same with Frank Thomas. I think both fan bases have a chip on their shoulder and resent that another nearby team gets far more national publicity. And the local sportswriters didn't go out of their way to promote the superstar they covered.

It's karma for the decades of watching Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers led teams get away with holds, pick plays and overly generous spots on the field of play.

I saw Cheap Trick open for Kansas at ISU in 1975, right after they graduated from the bar circuit and just cut their first album. Both bands did well. As for blowing the headliner off the stage, I saw Trombone Shorty do just that to Hall & Oates in 2016.
