I’m a mom with an unhealthy interest in politics, history, knitting, and Duolingo. Stabbing yarn and studying languages makes me very happy. Politics, not so much.

While I’m not willing to discount the incompetence of this administration, do you think it is at all possible that this absurd level of stupidity is a cover for whistleblowing? Could some random person be trying to sabotage these cases from the inside? Or am I just hopelessly optimistic?

Possibly both?

Is she in a cult? Because that phone call sounded very cult-like. Also, Rex, NO!

My thoughts exactly. If you’re scared, but can’t do the right thing anyway, you don’t need to represent us. Leadership isn’t for the weak. Seems like many of them want the perks, but not the responsibilities.

I don’t understand why they even feel the need to entertain this insanity. It is clearly written-in multiple places-in the Constitution. 🤬

Also, can we talk about her trying to cozy up to Vince? I didn’t like that at all

This is such an interesting storyline. I’m not a fan of Rochelle because she’s ditching her kids like she was ditched. Breaking generational cycles is hard, but how do you just ditch your kids?

I am so sorry.

Thank you! I just finished dinner, so I may sit and listen to the rain and knit, too. Yes, my country (yours, too, I’m guessing?) is a giant dumpster fire. It’s exhausting.

Yes! I haven’t touched my needles in 8 days. I want to knit, but I’m just mentally exhausted and picking them up seems like too much. Sending positive vibes and hopes that we both get back to enjoying our knitting soon!

I thought the same thing. If you’ve ever loved an alcoholic or an addict, you’ve done this. This man belongs nowhere near our government.

He’s amazing. And more coherent at 23+ hours than the Orange One ever is.

I wondered who Bob was. 😜 I wish you had done it and taken a photo. I’ll bet it’s an incredible perspective. If I ever end up there, I’ll take a pic and tag you. 💗 (I kinda like the idea of a break, so bring on the white coats. LOL!)

Not to be snarky, but why couldn’t you?

That’s freaking weird. Who does that?!?!?

Meanwhile, I’m in a Beaches of Cheyenne mood 😂…as a result of the Thunder Rolls mood from yesterday

Thank you for mentioning Libby! I have the worst habit of forgetting to check there.

Thank you for an audiobook!!! I love listening to your podcasts and cannot wait to listen to this. 😍

YES! And sorting things into groups “files” is so satisfying and takes so much less space!!!

As we have all seen, the definition of “criminal” has definitely changed with this administration. 34 felony counts? Not a criminal. Storming the Capitol and beating the hell out of Capitol Police? Not a criminal. This was all written down and presented to us last summer. I don’t understand…🤦🏻‍♀️

Yoooo….that’s what it sounded like to me, too!! Also, wth is Helen doing making best friends decide who loses their job??? Abdicate responsibility much????
comment in response to post
Oh, that is lovely! 😍 I just want to run that yarn over my hands.

I’ll raise you Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul. 😣

Beautiful! I always love when my knitting looks as neat from the back as from the front/ Great job!!💗

Is it as squishy as it looks??? Gorgeous colors!
comment in response to post
Beautiful!!! Those colors are making my hands itch for some needles 😍

Is it for Only Yarn? I’m off 1 row per inch at the moment. I hope I have enough yarn. 😝 (I hate swatching for shawls/wraps. I rarely have issues, but it seems like this time I may run into a problem.)
comment in response to post
Perfect timing! I hope it is used and washed and used and loved. 💗

Have you heard about the dysentery outbreak in Oregon? I’ve always been a sucker for Wild West romance novels, but I really don’t want to actually live in those times. Why are people so damn dumb?
comment in response to post
Mine, too. And I know just enough about knitting to mess it all up. 😂

Knitting at the Louvre is reason enough to go on. Using your creativity to create beautiful, whimsical windows at Les Tricoteurs Volants (the 3rd result when you google “yarn shops in Paris, France”) Never letting the bastards ruining the world make you give up and let them win. Sending hugs.

A great one to start with! Her patterns are so well written—just make sure you trust the process and don’t overthink the instructions. 🙂

I started on time and am still on Clue 1.😂 It is a great knit. (Lyrical Knits MKALs always are!) Have fun!

She’s been like that since she got to Ambridge, though. People just let it all happen. I can’t believe they just let the twins’ modeling for the chemical company campaign not really be an issue beyond an angry word or two.
comment in response to post
Yes!!! She was so ugly towards Kirstie. She isn’t the only one with problems and needs to stop acting like it!
comment in response to post
I was so mad yesterday, I almost posted at you! Natasha truly is evil and Kirstie needs to get over it and just move back into Beechwood and sell up later. I know Roy’s house is home to her, but how much of a pushover is she going to be?????

Oh, I love this!! Any estimate on pattern release?

Sometimes the wool gods are kind. I was looking for a specific skein at a LYS. I had gone thru the bins with that yarn at least 3 times. Something told me to go thru the display again. Lo and behold! The first skein I put my hand on was the one I needed. I was absurdly thrilled. 😂

I’m stunned that he thinks asylum seekers have been evicted from their home country’s insane asylums. He’s mentioned it in several speeches and I just… can’t anybody tell him?

I am going to knit and watch some @joshjohnsoncomedy.bsky.social stand-up on YouTube. My son and watch his new releases every week (usually Wednesday, but we are home on a rare Tuesday and missed last week’s drop.

It’s been a while, but I think either Tom or Natasha brought up how the rents needed to go up to keep up with the high cost of living. Still very shitty to do to Fallon.
comment in response to post
Very true. I now know exactly how Nazi Germany evolved. It’s so gross.
comment in response to post
Bridge Farm owns the land and everything, but Fallon rented it from them. The tearoom was actually her business, as far as I know. When N & T took it over, they changed the decor and the music and everything Ambridge about it. It didn’t go over well.
comment in response to post
If you care… When Fallon’s lease for the tea room was up for renewal, she couldn’t afford the increase. Natasha decided that she and Tom would take it over and “graciously” asked F to stay as manager. It was a dirty deal and F really got hosed.
comment in response to post
Yes! Why is empathy such a hard concept for some people?
comment in response to post
She is utterly unlikeable and I’ve thought so since she was introduced. I’m glad karma is taking a hand with the tea room.
