Imo I guess it depends on the trump supporter. A few of them are genuinely brain dead and haven't put a single thought into their support. Some grew up indoctrinated so I applaud them escaping the cult. The rest of them? Lost causes that I don't give a shit about.

I criticize the democrats more because I don't think they are all rabid soulless sociopaths. I actually have standards for them, and I'd like to believe most are good people. I want them to do better- like literally do anything meaningful to stop this.

Actual Christianity is cool. It's a shame that religious extremism keeps corrupting religions with good teachings.

We couldn't even win a war with Afghanistan or Iran. How the fuck would we win against Canada or mexico??

As someone who uses AI frequently as a hobby, a world where uneducated people are doing jobs like being a lawyer or a doctor sounds like utter hell.
comment in response to post
And, the more obscure your topic is, the less AI will know about it. On the surface level of skill, AI is very knowledgeable. But, ask it any obscure question about a field you are knowledgeable in and all you'll get is utter gibberish.
comment in response to post
No you can't?? AI is like an advanced academic with late stage dementia. It is only useful for professional fields if you already know what you're talking about. I've heard multiple stories of junior developers with poor coding skills writing spaghetti code due to relying on chatgpt

I hope they wake up sooner rather than later. Our billionaires are literally dragging us back to the dark ages.

I do think racism/misogyny was a factor, but FAR from the main reason Kamala lost. She had so, so much going against her. It's so weird seeing liberals blame her loss on her race/gender, pro-palestinian voters, or [insert hated minority of the day here]
comment in response to post
I know! I voted for Kamala, and I would have voted for biden too. I would have voted for a literal piece of shit. I am devastated Kamala Harris didn't win, but that doesn't mean I can't critique her or biden. They aren't even running now (I tried not to critique them as much during election season)
comment in response to post
I don't think it is unrealistic to expect biden to hold Israel to the many 'Red Lines' he set, and not cover up for Israel. My standards aren't impossibly high, because there are many politicians who do meet them! I like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie sanders, AOC, and Jasmine Crockett just to name a few
comment in response to post
Honestly, that's an understandable viewpoint. :/ I just need to have hope because otherwise I will go insane.

I've seen talks online of getting democrat governor together to form a pact. They control 70% of our GDP, and many of these tech companies funding this coup are located in them.
comment in response to post
Time for court cases to go through, time for protests to get bigger, time for democrats to come up with a better plan, ect, ect? I will admit, it is a stalling tactic. But in a hopeless situation like this one, stalling is a valid strategy no?
comment in response to post
Wtf man?? This is genuinely ableist. I am disabled, I make typos all the time. You say I'm your enemy, but here you are reporting the account of someone else anti-trump because you disagree with them on one minor issue.
comment in response to post
It's not performative, slowing down the assault and making things as hard for them as possible IS doing something! It gives us time, and we are in desperate need of time.
comment in response to post
Oh no!! You caught me!! I didn't just make a typo, no, I must be a bot. You're right, I'm currently in russia. Elon musk is personally paying me a million dollars per day to make a few mildly pro-palestine comments on bluesky and reddit!!
comment in response to post
You know in Germany they have a rule that politicians should never vote with fascist parties, no matter what? Fun little fact...
comment in response to post
You're right. Me critiquing the biden administration on twitter after the 2024 election is over is so incredibly damaging to this movement!! I will go hide in shame, stop having any standards for politicians, and from now on only sing my praises for every democrat no matter what they do!!
comment in response to post
docs.google.com/document/u/0... Remember how Republicans shut down democrats agenda even when they were in the minority party during Biden's and Obama's terms?? Why can't Democrats act like that??
comment in response to post
I don't see how me critiquing Biden's inaction and having standards for my politicians isn't working out for me. I voted & donated for Kamala harris. Idk why you think everyone critiquing biden voted for trump.
comment in response to post
I know this is a baffling concept, but two things can be bad at once. This isn't team sports, I can critique Biden's inaction AND trump's fascist oligarch administration! Mind blowing, I know.
comment in response to post
You're right. I suppose I'll trust a random internet meme over the conclusions of the UN, amnesty international, and the International Criminal Court.
comment in response to post
If biden was working on a ceasefire, he did a shit job at it. www.propublica.org/article/bide...
comment in response to post
It's not a meaningless gesture, congress should be trying to slow this down as much as possible instead of rolling over and doing nothing.
comment in response to post
I never said Trump was the better choice. I voted and donated for Kamala harris. But just because Kamala Harris is better than hitler 2.0 doesn't make her exempt from criticism.
comment in response to post
People ARE protesting! Look up 50501. When talking with them, Many of them are pro-palestine. What the fuck are YOU doing, huh??? Gleefully celebrating the genocide of Palestinians because some people couldn't stomach the idea of voting for a genocider is cruel.
comment in response to post
For one, up until yesterday dems were voting in Republican cabinet members. I think it's only John fetterman now. Also, the senate gives alot of power to the minority party. Why aren't they using this power to slow down the republicans as much as possible?
comment in response to post
Thanks for the recommendation! It's been so hard to find anything (and I doomscroll for hours) on what is happening now that the media has been taken.
comment in response to post
Really? You're right then, ig. I will admit, today they seem to be doing a lot more.
comment in response to post
Okay, but there are things democrats COULD be doing that they aren't. They can stop voting with MAGA, block unanimous consent, max out debate time, ect, ect.
comment in response to post
First of all, SHE WAS supported by many Palestinians. One, in fact was going to speak at the DNC in favor of Kamala, but she was kicked out at the last minute. But also, would you support a politician that was complicit in killing your family??? It is baffling that you have so little sympathy.
comment in response to post
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2024_So... The people of south korea literally broke into their building to impeach their president when he tried to do a coup. Where is this energy from the dems??
comment in response to post
When I say democrats aren't doing anything, I don't mean literally every democrat. Senators could be slowing down everything by ALOT, but they choose not to. That is what we're critiquing.
comment in response to post
I don't think anyone is saying nobody is doing anything, simply that the democrat party as a whole isn't doing everything they can to stop this.
comment in response to post
You are a traitor to the American people and the Constitution. You say you are an advocate for jewish people, yet in reality you are complicit in the rise of fascism that will lead to their deaths. I would say you should be ashamed of yourself, but I don't think you are capable of such things.
comment in response to post
All 'lesser evilism' does is buy us time. Both choices were shit, but you are choosing the enemy you'd prefer to fight. Personally, I'd rather have a capitalist president who isn't going to take away all my rights and my source of income, genocide even more people, and crash the global economy.

Really, the clear cause of autism is H 2O. Ever find it strange that all the people with this condition were also exposed to it? Strange... 🤨🧐🧐 This is why If I ever have children, I won't expose them to this deadly chemical.

Chastising your tongue and wagging your finger at people reacting inappropriately ignores the larger context of how we got here. In a more fair system, we wouldn't have gotten to this point because the united healthcare wouldn't have even been allowed to exist.
comment in response to post
Peaceful resistance doesn't do much. What is the last protest movement you can point to in America that actually accomplished something good? And, legally CEOs are above the law. They can rape, kill, and ruin people's lives all they please and usually all they have to do is pay a fine.
comment in response to post
I generally agree with this sentiment. I do not agree with vigilante justice. But, you have to think about how the current system enabled this to happen. Really, it is a failure of our system that caused us to become so desperate we would celebrate a mentally ill terrorist.

And someone will take Trump's place when he inevitably dies. Doesn't mean I won't feel some shadenfreude.

Jeffery Epstein had a family. Hitler had a family. Osama bin ladin had a family. That doesn't mean they deserve my empathy. If one of my family members was responsible for causing mass suffering, of course I would grieve them, but I wouldn't blame others for celebrating their demise.
