Man, I don't know if it's just me, but commercials in the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s were a lot better than what you get today. A lot more personality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=b_1A...

If you repeatedly shoot enemies out of the air in Typing of the Dead, would that be an Arial combo?

I was thinking back to a real asshole I used to know who'd had a lot of trouble with a 9000 Turbo car out of Sweden. I'd love to share the story, but I don't think it'd be right of me to share a SOB Saab sob story

Reading the news right now is definitely affecting my blood pressure. It's one of those damned if you do, damned if you don't things-- there are things I really *need* to know right now, like what's going on with Medicaid..

Please, please listen, I am literally begging you: I'm a healthcare lawyer who is alive because of Medicaid. I just came from Hill meetings about Medicaid. I'm very plugged into "the groups" — if you're covered by Medicaid, do not cancel anything medical because of the OMB mess.

Had a CT scan done last week. I'm waiting on the results, with a high probability of upcoming surgery.. that is, if my medical assistance doesn't get cut from this funding freeze fight.

This is a real good image to download and save as a favorite photo, Americans, in case you need it

You know, even if they manage to catch the guy, there's a real chance the jury will just find him innocent anyway through the principle of jury nullification. "Your honor, we find the defendant more innocent than the victim."

So, it's not cancerous, but it IS a tumor and it's problematic. gofund.me/2ab84114

As noted, I got Sniff to the vet on Friday. The wound appears to have a tumor; I've authorized a biopsy but that brought the total cost up to $1000 from $700. That $700 included antibiotics, ear cleaning, sedation, updated vaccines, and 13 days of Gabapentin doses. gofund.me/866f1d34

What does it say about me that I'm just too tired to keep fighting for a better future when the present seems to want me pretty dead in a short time? Don't get me wrong, I believe in what you're all trying to do.. but I don't have it in me to fight any harder than "survive another day"..

Absolutely this. There is no way Sony won't completely screw things up if they do get the acquisition. It's going to be a total shitshow for consumers and fans.

Made a list if anybody wants to subscribe, they're gonna flock to my posts so why not use that to put em all on a moderation list? I suggest going through and reporting them too if you can.

So I see that Microsoft just put out generic install images for ARM-based Windows 11. I wonder if the Snapdragon 865 is on the supported list? Might be able to get Windows 11 running on a Retroid Pocket 5. I'm not sure that would be a great experience, but maybe something fun to play around with?

gofund.me/74fabcad Yes, I look terrible. Yes, I still have a sinus infection after two months. Please help, I'm in over my head again with little chance of getting out without that help..

The combination of having insomnia, a sinus infection, and cold/heat sensitivity is giving me the mother of all weird sleep patterns.

I was reading an article about how mainstream media doesn't treat gaming seriously, like it's still a fad after 40 years. That got me thinking about the Crash of 84 and how *weird* things were before that point. Imagine drug stores selling 2600 cartridges. Yes, that really happened.

Beaming with pride that I may, on some level, have helped usher in the end of Prabhakar Raghavan's reign at Google. Before I wrote that piece there were maybe 3 writers who'd ever covered him. Now everybody knows he killed Google Search. Eat shit Prab <3 www.wheresyoured.at/the-men-who-...

Bluesky's developers long ago coined a term for this: EME. Elon Musk Event.

Don't expect much out of me right now, I still am hip-deep in a month and a half-long (and counting..) sinus infection. It sucks hard.

Not my first time on Blue Sky; I'd been here before, but real life and internet burnout had me delete all personal accounts. This account is not really a *personal* account, it's for emulation-related discussion. I probably won't make a new personal account at all.

I wasn't using my Twitter account for much outside of monitoring some emulation-related posters and for monitoring CheapAssGamer. I'll keep it around while the last few holdouts migrate, but I don't have any real interest in Xitter in the medium term, much less the long term.
