It feels a little soon to me, but I’m happy to see them nonetheless. I hope you’re keeping cozy 🫖

My old roommate and I would often sit down to eat, turn on Bones, and not a minute later go, “Ahhh, why do we always do this?!” 🤢

I do get the impression that they may be competing in some cases, so that makes sense. In another picture I posted today algae (or something else green) is growing over a white shelf fungus, and I’m not sure that’s in the fungus’ best interest. They’d probably rather have the wood to themselves

I’d have to find a truly ridiculous number of these to make a meal anyway, it’s just not realistic. But, score! I found it! Like an Easter egg hunt 👀

@chadruns.bsky.social is correct! Moss, fungus, lichen, ferns, and other water-loving plants are frequently found all crowded together here. Here’s another example:

I’d say you gotta be under 60 to get a “what?? so young!”

Condolences on your loss. But happy you have a family that trips and flips together.

Sounds like a sweetheart, and very good friend to have

Looks like your Buddy got to spend nearly all his time with you, and that’s what dogs want most: just to be with their person. So I’m sure he had a very good life. As my partner always says, they live shorter, better lives than ours. My condolences.

What a dollface! How appropriate that she came with her own wardrobe just like a Barbie, too

I know what you mean, lots of my photos are to that purpose rather than for sharing due to their artistic value. Even if you have good equipment and are at the ready, there’s a lot of luck involved esp where wildlife is concerned

I had no lens to speak of, just my usual phone camera which is no good for this. So I just sat in the car and watched the pair of them do their thing. To almost get hit by one! That would be startling but also really neat. A close up view is a treat

I saw some for the first time, that I know of, a couple weeks back. That’s exactly what they were doing, while a number of humans with long lenses tried to get a cool shot like this one

I’ve seen them at PetCo and I bet you can find them online, they seem to be getting more popular 🐕🐾👢
