I'm sure my lifelong partner will understand why I'm going to smooch up a lonely heiress of an Irish fortune company

Can't wait for the day that something like a CSAM queue becomes minimal exposure work. Will go a long way for vendor agents in helping them bounce back from the strain of the work.

I'm convinced that lower back pain from bad physical habits has made us invincible to the elements since sitting down badly has always been 10000 times worse than a mild gust in the winter months.

It's rough out here dude. Trust and Safety in particular is getting rinsed. Applying for so much stuff rn before I get the official redundancy axe.

Yaris Hilton is a star car commodity of this country and I will not stand for her being slandered

I dooooo 🙂 I've got a feed for it whenever something new shows up there.

Its a tight market here in Ireland. There's at least 100 folks I know who are beyond talented in the T&S field here, so it's to be expected that companies will be really dragging their nails to find the best person suitable.

A day late but lmao ah well, back to the search.

"Policy says Whaaaaaaat?!" 🤣

There's so few of us!! Got to band together 😭 can't imagine how things are looking on the US side since January happened. I've got EU regulations behind me as a backup spot.

I'll find out on Friday if I made a dogs bollocks of it or failed dramatically, felt like a great introduction introductionary period. Vendor work is rough and joining global escalations would be such a fun process to be a part of

She has taken StableDiffusion very personally and is fighting tooth and nail against it. Trad artist who transitioned to digital, so she's very ferocious about protecting her work. I think if it wasn't for my T&S history she'd probably have a 110% hatred of AI / ML technology.

Yeah I'm familiar with these protective programs. My partner is an artist and she employs nightshade if I remember right

A lot of folks panicking for no reason. ROOST is probably the best new collaborative approach I've seen in a while since big tech giants have swung behind it, offering their expertise and resources.

I woke up to this this morning to some folks really freaking out over this. They read 'AI' and shit themselves because their on experience with it is artists having their styles and products scraped. I was reading a massive thread full of all sorts of denials and surmising impossibilities.

Christ. I was under the impression that younger fellas were far more aware of this than folks in my age group but that's still such a nauseating number to see.

Gonna message Onlyfans for the meme and see if they have a careers portal lmao. Expand my horizons and all that.

Gonna have to take a refresh/ crash course for myself lmao. Haven't touched software since college so I've been out of that sphere for over a decade

Perfect time to get a bunch of friends and kit bash our way into something based in Ireland lmao Wouldn't mind having a euro based social network rise up whilst the old kings are bleeding out.

Tech bro culture looking more and more like the cult of the Adeptus Mechanicus as the days go by lmao

Not even joking this is literally a plot point in Warhammer 40k lore. A chaos rift opens up above a planet and the entire population is put under curfew and forbidden at looking up in the sky otherwise they'd be suspect to chaotic influence and go insane.

Same as it ever was I'm afraid. Look 'nice, clean and respectable.' Further corporatisation within the country means half the lads I'm working with are reduced back to their school days where they gotta toe the line or be made go home.

Quit smoking for 2 years at the height of the worst shite I was removing, loving life. Now I'm dealing with mundane stuff and ended up going back on my rolling tobacco lmao.

Referring to women as household objects ie nuclear family Or calling African Americans after farm equipment in reference to the cotton slave trade. Both staples of what used to be considered dehumanising language in their hate speech policy as it renders the target groups as less than human.
comment in response to post
Yeah it's rough out here. I'm in a place now where I've got more executive decision making and can advise front line folks for when they get that shit in their queues so I can offer support for them and help them get through stuff as quick as possible with minimal exposure.

I've thought about this topic a lot since player outrage to dev response seems to be on the upswing. My conclusion is that communication is just, really bad across the board.

I'd buy that theory tbh, with the rumours that they're planning to kill Xbox, their titular flagship series being on the end of a barrell would be a sufficient way of doing it.
comment in response to post
Yes! They're such an iconic duo for a good reason. While they're not that mechanically complex, their arena is perfect and an unreal step upwards from previous bosses. Definitely an amazing feeling when you topple them for the first time ever.
comment in response to post
Huh, so that's why their Dublin has been looking for policy specialists as far back as October.
comment in response to post
Gorgeous controller, also congrats on progressing. Who was the boss you were having trouble with?
comment in response to post
Ofc this is just a very minor example and isn't reflective of what you're saying here in the OP, but with better research I think your major worry here could have been potentially avoided, or resolved in appropriate manners and timing

I'd see folks cannibalise each other over these smaller disagreements, sometimes the optimal route can just be treating the reclaimed word with caution and applying a reference rule to it and making other uses of it bannable because it's not earmarked for use outside of specific discussion styles.
comment in response to post
Hugely impactful for reclaimed words in particular. Ik there's some marginalised groups that are okay with using these words self referrntially or to another member of the same community, but bc its anecdotal it's not reliable unless there's consistent agreement across all groups.
comment in response to post
I don't wanna understate how effective advocacy groups are in shaping some policies, because it makes research 10x easier. However you need multiple groups here since sometimes you'll encounter a specific word or turn of phrase that will be considered okay in one group but not in another.
comment in response to post
However it takes utilising resources and advocacy groups and asking for their expertise and concerns about being protected to really add the flesh of the policy to be really effective.
comment in response to post
Would like to address this re: clear guides and consistent enforcement. I'm aligned on you here bc inherently, policy for T&S is in constant flux that changes and evolves to meet new demands or concerns. Let's take your example here for protecting trans folk. You can build a skeleton framework sure,

People love stories of accountability being taken, so I think this would have been the smarter move rather than just pretending it didn't exist, because now there'd far more attention on it than there should be. It was a panic button response and got picked up on as a result.
