Huh? 58% of voters in Ontario voted for a party other than the PCs. I have a PC MPP (who I did not vote for) and will exercise my democratic right to hound him about terrible policies.

CPC MPs have been trying to push the message that the party has changed. This messaging (along with the resurrection of Scheer) proves otherwise -- it's both petty and dangerous. Sowing distrust of results amongst voters who are already suspicious. There is only one reason you would do this.

This sentiment is everywhere. I just tried to listen to the latest Unsiloed podcast and had to turn it off. Apparently, feminism is responsible for all current unhappiness.

Agreed.

It's groups like these that are emboldened by the mainstreaming of the far-right. Thank you for having your eyes open -- I wish more people/orgd did!

I think progressives need to be very careful not to count out Poilievre and his loyal CPC. They did way better than I'm comfortable with. This is no time to celebrate.

Looks like I am! I will have to read up on attracting them to the feeder.

I heard Chris D'Entremont interviewed on CBC the morning after the election, and I experienced this glimmer of hope that the CPC would abandon the lies and rage farming. The glimmer is gone as Scheer and Poilievre re-emerge as the poster boys. Back to slogans and name calling. I'm so tired.

I love them. I've never had one at my feeder though.

Ignore it! You're great. Always appreciate your perspective.

I feel so badly for Kitchener Centre. This is what happens when strategic voting is done poorly (Green should have been back there 100%).

Seems like it's our information environment that's broken, not our country.

100% this. We can't take a day off.

We have to be grateful for the win (thank you for your hard work!). But the results show that the far-right has a huge amount of support in this country. The work is not done. We can't stop working.

Thank you for being a powerful voice in support of Canada and Canadian values during this election campaign. Jack's integrity and humanity live on in you.

Honestly, I'm just so tired of all of these men. This campaign has exposed so much ugliness.

And I believe they've now endorsed Poilievre. I don't even know why it's acceptable for police to take political sides. So much for any appearance of impartiality.

He is an awful human. Also, the punctuation in that slogan/sign is a travesty.

Come to Durham, Charlie!

I feel like I see the term being whitewashed quite a bit, though. I believe it's important to remember that it has roots in recognizing systemic racial injustice and anti-Black racism. Of course, it normalizes disrimination against many other groups in Poilievre's usage.

The mainstream media has totally failed us. I don't understand why the phrase "the far-right CPC" is not being routinely used.

This is the most important factor in this election for me. I was furious he wasn't grilled on it during either of the debates.

I'm grateful your organization exists. Canadians have a lot of work to do.

I really appreciated your passion and candor in calling this out last night. It's really unbelievable that the commission allowed this to happen.
comment in response to post
I didn't understand why no one mentioned this. Thank you.

If this isn't a focus of the debates, I will be furious.

The far-right loves him and calls him their savior. We can't sleep on the support for him. His supporters will vote.
comment in response to post
Yes, I'm glad you're putting this out there. I recently saw someone refer to "the federal PCs", and I couldn't believe anyone thinks they still exist.
comment in response to post
Agreed. It made me uncomfortable.

🤣 now constitutes 99% of political discourse on Facebook.

At least they are not looking to court any on-the-fence voters.

This is hard to watch. The child calling Poilievre a "saviour." This is cult-like.

Yay! Facebook needs to go as well. It's awful.

It's a call to action for the next Liberal government.

I am gutted every time I see a CPC sign go up on my street. Is it ignorance about what the party represents today or a conscious endorsement of the far right? This is not my Canada.

This is so disturbing. Thank you for raising awareness.
