Well we sure showed those leftie scumbags a thing or two! Ok now to take a cool sip of water and relax while some of my sensible centrists buddies (not me!) take on those respectable right-wing chappies

init.. if they ever sell it back to the council or to local residents or wevz, it'll cost a shitload to undo all the changes. but they'll never do that while they're coining it anyway :/

* please note that "why can't the council do it?" is a rhetorical question - i do not wish to know "well actually". i am saying that, if someone is gonna coin it here, it SHOULD be the city of Nottingham (and maybe make the student's rent cheaper?)

why can't the council do that themselves? make the investment then some of the HUUUUUGE amount of money that student housing makes in Nottingham would flow back into the city. we're selling off century-old assets for next-to-note and then someone else owns our city, and drains the £££

what i'm pissed off about is the amount of money and where it's going. the council sold it for £600k. which is peanuts. it's huge. and a developer is gonna turn it into student flats then absolutely coin it for a decade or two (or instantly flip it to someone who'll do that).

I said to some students recently: the reason we ask you to write essays isn't because we believe there aren't enough essays in the world

"oh we can't do it, we need to pay people less, invest less money, cancel all the infrastructure. Make this project take ten years not five. Prioritise rich people making even more money! Wait, why does everything suck? Did we not cut wages hard enough or something?"

writing it down like that just now made it clearer to me tho... multidim arrays are not really multidimensional .. it's just that any array element could also have an array in it, and can then index that. more of a tree than an n-dimensional thingy
comment in response to post
that's one of the few things i could have actually told you :) almost certainly something i got from a link you sent... about specifying a default "fill". whereas JS arrays are just arrays that can contain arrays (or not)

I maintain that the whole “but what about my access to quality European wine and cheeses??” remains an accurate stereotype
