An immensely obscure tiny detail in Super Mario Sunshine is that Strollin' Stus have heightened awareness of Mario if he has no water left. Pumping FLUDD with no water makes them notice Mario from much further away. This took players 22 years after the game's release to discover.

Mr. Mamdani do you condemn that U2 album they downloaded onto everyone's iPhone back in 2014

no matter your politics it’s disrespectful to joke about someone’s health. don’t say kristi noem died from getting her ass stuck in a wooden barrel and floated off a waterfall and her head hit every tree branch on the way down and an eagle flew by and grabbed her hat. don’t say stuff like that

i'm at the government run grocery store. it's terrible. they have one large banana in the middle of the store and nothing else. this is the future of new york city. every one is fighting for the banana

NANCY PELOSI: We must find the next generation of Democratic leadership. Young, charismatic and exciting candidates who can energize the party. People that voters love because they're not 80 years old and sold out to big capital. CHUCK SCHUMER (behind sniper rifle): Found one PELOSI: Take the shot

SCOTUS is aiming to undo birthright citizenship and the VRA and keeps gutting the first amendment, while GOP is set to pass a bill that outlaws green energy and kills medicare, so Hakeem is ready to do what must be done: direct all fire at the charismatic leftist promising better through solidarity

Dammit, now I'm sad, too.

If they just shit on Mamdani you could rationalize it as a unique thing to him and his candidacy but the party leaders and consultants did the same thing with AOC and even with Obama and maybe it’s time we demand that they encourage candidates that turn out the youth vote instead of impeding them

taking this moment, between the terrible supreme court opinions, the concentration camps, and the bill in the senate, to go on tour of cable news to trash the dem nominee for mayor of nyc, and to do it while lying about him and peddling in obvious islamophobic rhetoric…it’s truly black pilling

the cia guy monitoring mamdani: he has too much street wisdom, his heart is too big, he smoke more different than anyone, his bitch is too bad. we have to take him out.

ICE *already* can't meet their detainment numbers without rounding up children, veterans, people born in the U.S., people with no criminal records, people at immigration hearings, plus academics and visitors with valid visas. So who do they plan to detain with >10x the budget? The answer is: you.

Mamdani must explain his tweet from 1740 BC claiming that Ea-nāṣir had "high quality copper"

still one of the most iconic posts

if there was ever any doubt, confirmation that, similar to Trump, the official Cuomo campaign was inept and flailing. The competent Cuomo backers who almost launched him to power were the media, who waged (and still wage) a multifaceted propaganda campaign on his behalf.

It continues being funny that "active switch" continues being a dog whistle to say "It's not 1:1 UMVC3 assists" like the last game with active switch was MVCI 8 years ago, none of the other tag fighters ever copied how assists/tags works in that game (if nyo can even call it assists in that game :V)

I hope that I am not right, but I do not think that the GOP fucking over rural areas will result in rural areas blaming the GOP: instead they'll double-down on blaming imaginary cultural enemies and resentment/fantasy about how the cities must be worse.

Really impossible to overstate how completely this guy has failed at every aspect of being an opposition leader over the past six months. Jeffries is a truly inspiring example for every soulless careerist who would rather be king of nothing than stand for anything decent in the world.

Whenever I see lawmakers anywhere do things like this, I think that the most radical thought you can have about institutional politics is that its performance is not at the level of ideology, but physicality: that the law is an object which can bludgeon, and that you can disarm by fleeing with it.

lol

Cyberpunk writers trying to come up with an idea for an original setting

Imagine this guy swerving across three lanes of highway in front of you to get to an exit

Every liberal SCOTUS dissent kinda feels like this

A joy to march in NYC Pride with the people's champ Tish James 🏳️‍🌈

happy pride month

the way that no act of right-wing violence ever seems to change the media or political elite of this country's world view is just fucking maddening

A radical Christian just murdered the speaker of a state house but the real worry is the theocratic muslim who said the bus should be cheaper

I simply do not understand the “but they’ll pack it back” objections in what world is one where both sides pack it back and forth worse than what we have now, in which we are 6-3 for “laws are only real if they help Republicans”? packing the court is the only viable response if we want rule of law

Pack the Court. If we are serious about the defense of these rights, we pack the Court. Simple as that. They pack it back, we pack it again. We do it until we reach consensus on long-term reforms to the judiciary. I don't know what it's going to take for people to get it.

god damn he's cooking

go split those Adams votes buddy you deserve it

on Mamdani's city-run groceries idea, "laboratories of democracy" are one of the great U.S. strengths - even if you don't think it's likely to work, it's really interesting to see it tested. Maybe it'll be really successful! Maybe it'll fail for reasons we don't expect!

The immediate success of congestion pricing, after the Dem establishment insisted it would discredit the entire party, was a great advertisement for Trying Shit.

Oh my god they did it

Any excuse to repost an all-time Bluesky banger
