See, I do actually agree with this.
The issue is, though, is what the hell are they going to do about it?
How are they going to express their discontent? Protest?
How will they try to reconcile chastising the anti-ICE protests with their own protests against their former God King?

Like, we have Google out here making AI that helps understand how proteins work and how they're related to disease

Most AI researchers, right now, are using AI to support drug discovery, more accurately identify network threats in cybersecurity, and predict when industrial machines will require maintenance.

People who are using AI like ChatGPT despite all evidence and logic pointing to how destructive and dangerous it is are in denial, absolutely. They point to how they’re using it as a search engine or ideas generator because they have chosen not to interrogate its actual usefulness in these cases
