My cartoon for issue 1640 of @privateeyenews.bsky.social, out now

what a surprise. 🙃

this honestly goes a long way toward explaining why the coverage of the Biden administration was so egregiously terrible

BREAKING: President Biden just pardoned: * General Mark Milley * Dr. Anthony Fauci * Jan. 6 Committee members of Congress and staffers * The police officers who testified before the Jan. 6 Committee Biden says these pardons are not an acknowledgment of wrongdoing.

one day when a child asks me how my country fell I will tell them with scraped knees, elbows bruised with mournful screaming, hearts ablaze and alongside white men who feared most the power of a strong intelligent woman.

Misinformation isn't random - it's strategic. 🧵 In the first cross-national comparative study, we examine 32M tweets from politicians. We find that misinformation is not a general condition: it is driven by populist radical right parties. with @julianachueri.bsky.social doi.org/10.1177/1940...

There is absolutely no doubt that Elon Musk is a Nazi and an anti-semite -- and he is the President-elect of the United States. This is beyond concerning. I beg you to re-post this so that every single American is aware of the fact that Musk is a Nazi and that his colleagues are, too.

Biden warns 'dangerous' oligarchy taking shape in farewell address "Today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America of extreme wealth, power and influence that really threatens our entire democracy, our basic rights and freedom” www.bbc.com/news/article...

FYI: I will not be covering the inauguration on any of our podcasts.

The billionaires want you all to be divided to keep the heat off of them. This nightmare will all be over on the day that working people unite and realize that’s it’s YOU vs. THEM.

Dems/media condemning Joe for pardoning Hunter right after a psycho who has spent 4 years ranting that he was going to go after him is the most toxic kind of phony virtue signaling imaginable. Don’t forget to pat yourselves on the back from your perches on the moral high ground.

I had no idea how thirsty I was for some good news until Joe pardoned Hunter.

I don't think we need to have any more discussions about "norms" and "precedent." What we need to do is prepare to sue the shit out of this administration in a zillion places in an attempt to sabotage it until we can flip Congress in 2026.

The @washingtonpost.com is definitely just trolling us now

Do you remember how hopeful we were a month ago? I do.💙

THREAD: On tomorrow's new episode of the Jack podcast, I discuss my concern over whether Merrick Garland will release Jack Smith's report. I hope you'll listen to the podcast, but I also want to put this out on Bluesky. 1/

A third of us tried to save two thirds of us from themselves. They’re about to find out.

A truly shocking story about the way the judicial system is failing young victims of sexual abuse in America, And how the courage of one child saved her, when no-one else would.

In the Battle of Thermopylae (480BC), a small force of Greek soldiers fought valiantly against a mighty Persian army, knowing they could never win. Their task was to slow down the Persian advance until reinforcements across Greece could be mustered. ...🧵

Trump will not have a good economy because we don’t have 2 let him. I myself plan on paying my bills and saving every penny beyond that. I will not contribute 2 this economy in any other way. I will buy some clothes before he takes office and make sure I have everything I need for the next 4 years.

This is the rallying call that I've needed to hear since November 6th. From Roxane Gay in today's New York Times www.nytimes.com/2024/11/17/o...

Word.

Are you about to DM someone you don't know? Cut. That. Shit. Out. No one likes it.

This was just sent to me and it's INSANE People on the west side of Michigan near Holland in Ottawa County are finding letters in their doors from a group calling themselves the Gideon 300 Here is the link to their website: thegideonthreehundred.com

Wonderful when Russian State TV praises Trump’s DNI nominee as “our girlfriend Tulsi.”

⬇️ This is how Russian active measures operate (build up a trusting base, then slowly feed them your preferred info)…no reason not to reverse-engineer it right back with the truth

From a friend: “Someone I know had a meeting with a Trump agriculture transition team member. This person said surely you’re not going to impose tariffs on food imports. He responded why wouldn’t we? And my person said: because about 30% of the food Americans regularly consume cannot be grown here…”

Democrats, take notes.

But we won’t know we’re all dying because they won’t report the number of deaths.

President Biden, I want you to know...millions of us would be okay with you addressing the nation at 6:30 pm and saying, "My fellow Americans, yeah...F*ck this bullshit! Not on my watch. F*ck that!!" We won't judge you. Promise.

Tulsi Gabbard for DNI, a Russian spy. Brilliant

I would love it if all the Daily Beans listeners would either put “Leguminati” in their profiles or the 🫘 emoji in their handle so we can find each other 💙💙

I feel mislead by all dystopian literature. It's supposed to be a powerful authoritarian government that lords over a cowering population, and and we just need need a few brave acts of heroism to give the people the courage to rise up. Instead it's just half the country being dumb and mean.
