Elon Musk’s accomplishments in full… From the new Private Eye, in shops now.

I’ll never forget hearing from people, eager to help & already active in this field, whose calls were not even returned.

"I am sick of hearing how 'Trump wants to bring peace' - the 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 guarantee from pausing military aid is to make the war longer."

Fujitsu swore it wouldn’t bid for public contracts until the Horizon scandal inquiry wrapped up. And yet a new £300k MoD deal just landed in its lap. Their “no-bid” pledge is looking more like a PR stunt riddled with loopholes. Full story in the new Private Eye, out now.

Keir Starmer fears European troops in Ukraine could struggle to pinpoint where the next attack is coming from, especially when Russia's most effective weapons are in the White House

There was only one alpha-male in that Oval Office… And he wasn’t wearing a suit. …nor was he wearing eyeliner or fake tan.

In journalism it's important to reflect both sides, listen, understand nuance,be aware of your bias It’s also important to call out facts that aren’t true Trump suggested Ukraine started the war with Russia That is not true.Facts matter. If you want to end a war,you need to face up to how it started

Senator Dick Durban, "Donald Trump goes off on these wild tangents and says things which are clearly false" "Thousands have died defending their country" "And for President Trump to argue that they were somehow the aggressor in this action is disgraceful"

“If they truly want to rebuild the NHS in the way they say, they need radical reinvestment in our public service. They need to stop funnelling money into the private sector that could be spent rebuilding public capacity.” I told The Big Issue this ⬆️ www.bigissue.com/life/health/...

Sophy Ridge calls out President Trump's lies, "Donald Trump said Ukraine should never have started the war, that is not true, and it should be called out"

Trump calls Zelensky “a dictator without elections” having lauded Putin, a man who hasn’t had a free or fair election in years and who has prevented elections in Ukraine because he invaded.

Having promised not to raise tax the easy way (income tax, VAT, employee NICs) and discovered how difficult it is to raise it from people with wealth (non-DOMs, farm owners) Govt decides to take money off the poorest in society bit.ly/4gNbqSi cos there’s lots of them and they can’t move to Monaco

Just when you think Donald Trump cannot sink lower or be more shameful, today he's blaming Ukraine for the war and calling Zelinsky a dictator, when he knows perfectly well that Putin's constant re-elections are put-up jobs.

Farage doesn’t believe in the NHS any more than the Tories do. Right now we can see what the NHS is capable of under Labour, 2 million extra appointments just months after taking charge. You can't trust Reform with your health.

Why is no one talking about the fact that NHS adult hospital bed occupancy in England is sitting at the unsafe level of 96%?🚨 +that ~14087 beds last week were occupied by someone ready to go home, but who can’t because of the social care crisis? The situation is the worst it’s been all winter🚨

The Salmon industry is facing a reckoning with mass deaths and diseases ravaging fish farms. Farmed salmon is not ‘organic’, it’s not fit for human consumption…

Yes!

New productivity data shows NHS staff are keeping the NHS going against all odds. So why is the media ignoring the details in place of negative headlines?🚨 open.substack.com/pub/jujuliag...

www.cnn.com/2025/02/12/e...

The most frustrating thing about continuing failure to skewer Farage is that his grasp of detail is non-existent. It’s why he gets petulant when exposed to even mildly decent questions. Interviewers just need to zone in on one element of the bullshit & interrogate it until his ignorance is exposed.

Senior Tory MP accused of ‘brass neck’ after saying Britain needs better work ethic

Elon Musk is powerful, dangerous and an incredible bore - we’re going to have to hold him and the other tech bros to account because Donald Trump certainly won’t.

44,000 callers to @HMRCgovuk in 2023/24 were cut off after waiting 70 minutes to be answered. Average wait for those who do get through was 23 minutes, says @CommonsPAC bit.ly/4jneOpp HMRC boss says claims ‘baseless’ even though they are figures it provided.

Farage insisting that he has an inside track to Trump while also not getting invited to the swearing in is bang on brand. As, sadly, is the fact that his dishonesty & humiliation will be ignored by much of the media.

🔴A Simple Ban on Political Lying Could Radically Transform Our Politics Just one small step would trigger a whole series of positive changes to democratic life in the UK bylinetimes.com/2025/01/22/a...

EveryDoctor will be meeting with 82 MPs/ their team members in 45 minutes, to discuss the current emergency in the NHS. NHS staff will share powerful testimony about what is happening. We must push the government into action!🚨 ITV wrote about our meeting last night: www.itv.com/news/2025-01...

Elon Musk has been accused of giving a Nazi salute but it would be silly to to suggest there’s anything sinister about it. Just ask his good friend Tommy Robinson

Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg all attend Trump's Inauguration, to honour an historic day for their bank balances

The Farage factor.

Isabel Oakeshott who spent years complaining of immigrants coming to the UK and not speaking English Has moved to Dubai, where she's an immigrant, and doesn't speak Arabic 🤷‍♂️

Left: The UK has fewer doctors and nurses than peer countries Right: Currently England has 3,500 PAs who are replacing doctors and nurses Will Labour reverse the roll out of PAs? Or will they keep PAs and make it worse?

I think Bluesky is a great platform and I’m here to stay. However, a bookmark function would make the experience SO much better and much more functional for research/ information gathering, especially for reporters. Pretty please @support.bsky.team @bsky.app ?

“new data has shown that there were a record 518,000 waits of 12 hours or longer in A&E last year.” Absolutely terrible. Research shows that for every 72 patients waiting 8-12 hours before admission, there will be one additional death 🚨🚨🚨 www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Sometimes I feel hopeless about what is happening to the NHS and what people are doing about it. I think we either need to go all in, find the millions of people who care and get a *lot* louder, or we give up. I want to go all in, but I can’t go all in alone. Share if you think we need to fight.

Wes Streeting visits care home From the new Private Eye, out now.

Looking at the way Starmer’s new NHS plans are being reported, you would think that there was a secret magical army of private healthcare staff on standby to save the NHS. In reality approx 90% of consultants working in the private sector also work in the NHS. Private companies poach NHS staff🚨

The Tories did NOT implement recommendations of the Prof Jay report into child sexual abuse Whitehall estimated compensation costs at £5-10 billion! Badenoch was Children's and then Women & Equalities Minister. DIDN'T mention "grooming gangs" in House of Commons once in all her 8 years as an MP!!

Carving up the world 1805 Pitt and Napoleon 2025 Trump and Musk Brilliant by @mortenmorland

Professor Alexis Jay, "I'm unhappy about the politicisation of child sexual exploitation.. The time has passed for more inquiries" "Victims want action. We have set out what action is required. Politicians should just get on with it"

Just catching up on articles about the NHS. Both The Telegraph and the Daily Mail are very positive about Keir Starmer’s new plans for the NHS. What does that tell you? 🚨

Make no mistake. Every politician, pundit & online grifter amplifying Musk's dangerous lies will be aware of this intervention by now. Make no mistake, they are choosing to mislead the public & politicise the suffering of victims in the shameful pursuit of political advantage, attention & clicks.

Who is going to do all of the work for these private companies bringing down NHS waiting lists? Staff who have been poached from the NHS of course. The private health sector in the UK trains almost no staff, takes on NHS work and does so to create a profit for shareholders. 🚨🚨🚨

Just as we predicted … Meanwhile, where is the response to the emergency within emergency services, which is less lucrative and attractive to private health companies?🚨🚨🚨 www.gov.uk/government/n...

Mike Padgham, Chair, Independent Care Group "Why is Labour taking so long to get a report when we already know what needs to be done?" "It's like the Titanic is having a meeting after its hit the iceberg to work out how its sinking, meanwhile, it's sinking"
