Omg you’re right. Targeting people who followed the legal US process for seeking asylum.

It’s almost as if the whole “take back the Panama Canal” bluster was a ruse to blackmail Panama into holding our undocumented immigrants in the most abject conditions possible.

Anyone who’s berating you for buying a Tesla in the Before Time is just trying to make this app as toxic as the other one. Please try not to let them get under your skin.

Do they even need to delete the language if they’ve already “deleted” the FDIC?

I had been upset by the order to deadname missing trans kids, but until the interview it hadn’t occurred to me (stupid of me, I admit) that using the wrong name and gender identity of missing kids would make it impossible to find them.
Thank you, @katelynburns.com

Wait a minute. You mean to say that we don’t need to blanket the earth with data centers and coal & gas plants to maybe arrive at a future where we can wave a magical AGI wand to make all of the consequences of that go away?
Yes. This is a false trade off. Let that sink in. 16/

Then there are the global impacts. More coal & gas means more carbon emissions, accelerating our climate crisis. Hence why Google & MSFT saw a ~50% & 30% jump in emissions since 2019 & 2020 respectively (from @darakerr.bsky.social at @npr.org). 10/

Many journalists have written extensively about those externalities.
When these massive data centers come to town, they distort power supplies (per @bloomberg.com’s @leonardonclt.bsky.social, @naurtorious.bsky.social,
