Thanks! It was surreal to see Northern Lights in Central Pennsylvania. I was practically giddy with excitement and all from my Android phone camera. No time to get my Canon EOS Rebel!

Oh no. I am so sorry. We've had that happen, too. To help cope, I'll think one of two things; someone else found them and took them in, or they were greeted by our other beloved pets at the 🌈 bridge. 💕

I think it's because cold weather can cause a person with dementia to become agitated, depressed, or distressed. My late aunt was worse in the cold (she succumbed to Alzheimers) 2 years ago.
