Thread (1/2) Very heartening to see Martin Wolf explicitly calling out the coup in the US ... www.ft.com/content/6a4d... via @ft

Labour has decided it's OK for customers to throw another £1bn to the parasitic water co's. To add to the £85bn they were paid and took, but didn't do their job. In fact allowed sewage to pollute precious places. Here Ewan McGaughy explains how to do it differently. www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOnO...

Sugary food and drink being marketed to kids with no hope of dental care.

Are farmers allowed to use duty free red diesel when driving to and from these protests or do the fill up at the local garage first? Do these journeys count as ‘purposes relating to agriculture’, perhaps ‘events which provide information and education that benefit agriculture’ bit.ly/41d6i58

Question Time last night was pretty fierce. And had to be. There's a deliberate effort now to shift the ground: towards appeasement, inhumanity and authoritarianism. Once more, we must resist it. We must fight hard for kindness. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

Hell has already broken out 'and all the devils are here'.

Tories pledge to expel low-paid and unemployed migrants from UK. So they will expel UK citizens, children born in the UK. Send them where? Who will do the work - nurses, social care, transport, teaching, factory work? Tories going Trump and fascist. Where will the next Guantanamo bay be?

While we're enthralled by this, Elon and his boys are busy going through your cupboards upstairs.

As a species, we don't appear to make relentless progress. Not when an opportunity to do some looting presents itself.

Happening now in Boston!! A massive anti-Trump rally calling for an end to Elon’s coup and billionaires controlling our government. This is AMAZING to see.

This must be the sunlit uplands for Putin and Xi regardless of whatever happens to the US.

Musk might actually have to go to Mars when all this pans out.

It's not a demolition site it's a mass grave. It's not a demolition site it's a crime scene. It's not a demolition site its a homeland. It's not a demolition site it's Palestine. It's not a demolition site it's a genocide.

NatWest Bank finalises £450m bonus pot, 25% higher than last year. CEO remuneration expected to hit £6.6m. Their profiteering is our poverty. Govt tells worker wage rises are inflationary, but that doesn't apply to exec pay, dividends, share buybacks. It's class war.

It's interesting, I'm part of a signal group in DK where people are asking for help with alternatives to US tech giants like meta, Google drive, Amazon etc. It's only a couple of hundred people, but there's genuine concern for data privacy. It feels like a movement may be building.

At the heart of Canadian national memory is the awareness that Canadians twice came to the UK's aid in world wars years before the Americans showed up. It will not be forgottem if the Brits now hide in a corner and say nothing when Canada faces existential threats.

Indonesia's deforestation surges for the third consecutive year, driven by timber plantations, palm oil, & mining. Carbon sinks vanish. Wildlife loses habitat. Indigenous lands shrink. Fires spread. Water sources dry up. Who stops this? #ForestsOverProfits #AccountabilityNow #PoliticalWillMatters

Why would you lock yourself in the wheelhouse?

Rather than asking your smart speaker to play BBC Radio 3 Classical Unwind, ask yourself what am I dissatisfied with? Then rail against it here. Music is yours already. It's not Mogadon.

The Tower has held less deserving characters than Prince Andrew over the years.

Five years on from Brexit, London remains a European city, where European Londoners are valued and cherished. You are our neighbours, colleagues, friends and loved ones. Thank you for making London your home. You are wanted here—and always will be.

If private equity gets hold of W H Smiths expect - kaleidoscopic subsidiary company creation - loading every ounce of asset with debt - evaporation of staff benefits - cash leaving via first item on list - ,responsibility for debt avoided by first item on list
