I also have seen poverty up close having spent time as an advocate for "Suitcase City" in Tampa, Florida. I can tell you from experience that many of the people there were simply poor and trying to hold their families together in the midst of crime in a community where police wouldn't even go into.

In my old neighborhood in Florida community bikes were stolen as fast as they could put them down, so they discontinued the service. Before I had problems walking, I loved my bike. A cargo bike would be great for shopping.

Where I was raised the bike lanes were in the middle of the busy highway. There were no sidewalks! People were hit and killed frequently. Don't complain. DO something about making paths for those who DON'T drive!

It is a wonderful thing that you did by helping the needy with your "manna from heaven". It will come back to you. God bless you for being compassionate to the needy. I have been in a bad place like that, and no words can express the gratitude felt by those in a deep, dark, hole.

Any that are not bigoted and who will hire you?? In the old state where I was raised, it was nearly impossible to find one. I'm retired now, thank God, and I have moved from that God awful red state.
