It is the scourge of our times. 😁

Yeah, been there; done that more times than I can count. Hang in there!

I’m with you. I canceled a few days ago as well.

Yes, I posted this very quote last week and I couldn't agree more. bsky.app/profile/star...

Absolutely agree. We are't Democrats doing anything? They seem to be completely lost.

I'm fairly certain that it is not legal but who is going to prosecute, certainly not the DOJ. And even if someone does, how many months/years will it take to work through the courts?

The atproto protocol that Bluesky is built on is not owned by anyone. Fundamental difference.

I came here to say this but here it is. 🙂

Yes, this is correct.

Yeah, it’s the progression that we have seen time and time again…so yeah, I think it’s likely.
But a constitutional amendment requires 2/3 of both house to pass and then has to ratified by 3/4 of the states.

Oh, this is only the beginning of such devices. Brace yourself.

Yup, this was definitely me this year.

Agreed. After many years of going through all types of gadgets, I now just use a hand grinder, an Aeropress, and good beans. Sometimes it’s best to just keep things simple. Also requires no electricity, less prone to breakage, easy to clean, and very portable. Great for camping.

Yeah, I have had to give Claude specific instructions not to make more changes than necessary and that works pretty well.

Same here. Claude 3.5 Sonnet in Cursor is working well. I have had to tell it not to make more changes than necessary a few times. Expanding the context window would really take it to the next level.

I really enjoyed Shogun but since I haven't seen all of the shows in the list, I can't say it is the best.

🦋 for me. I've been building my own little app using atproto.

What have you tried so far? I too have struggled with this. What I am doing now is to take the time to identify the things that I need to remember, create flashcards, and review the cards daily using a space repetition algorithm.

Thanks for sharing @thedsp.bsky.social! Trying this out now.

I love me some SQL so i've never been one to use the "tools" much.

Starter packs, lists, and custom feeds are really the way to go to find good content. Reposting (not retweeting, this isn’t Twitter) as suggested here is going to cause a ton of noise but that can be filtered out with a custom feed 😉
comment in response to

Same here. I also never really got into Twitter/X. I like the starter packs as well as the lists and custom feeds features here. Essentially creating multiple algorithms of my own enabling more focus.

I was thinking the same thing. Clear case of defamation and he has deep pockets.

Welcome. I was wondering how long it would take for you to join. 😁

What I did was create the list first and then create a custom feed that uses the list and filters by additional criteria, tags for instance.

This is what I do. It takes a while to build the lists but its worth it in the end.

I have no idea what Bluesky is willing or unwilling to do. Bluesky is a fundamentally different entity than Twitter and Threads. It is a Public Benefit Corporation that is built on the OpenSource "AT" protocol. This protocol is decentralized so anyone can setup a server or build an app.
comment in response to
post
Hm, I’m finding it much more intuitive than twitter ever was.

Bluesky is free and not supported by advertising. Vetting every account costs money. I think using the existing domain ownership prices is very smart. It means Bluesky doesn’t have to build another system and charge you for it. Either way, someone has to pay and I really don’t want ads here.

Yes, Walter Issacson covers this in his biography of Musk. Musk was admitted to Stanford but differed and never attended. Instead he started Zip2.
