For what it's worth, our governor is pretty good too :)

It's almost like they are constantly lying about everything all the time for their own gain. Weird

YES. There's this rhetoric that says, if you have any empathy for a Trump supporter, you're an apologist and as bad as they are. No, I just think that a lot of people who support him have been lied to and made to be wary of anyone telling them the truth, and that shouldn't be a death sentence.

YES. The "there's nothing we can do" crap is cowardly. Love to see someone on the move. The rest of Dems in Congress should be pulling all the obstructionist crap Repubs have been using for years. Use filibuster, calls for quorum, ANYTHING to block/delay, while being VOCAL AF that this is NOT NORMAL

I am so proud to live in a state where I can honestly say my senator straight up called Elon Musk a dick on a public platform. I mean I love the things you do to actually fight for Minnesotans too, that's probably more important, but calling Elon a dick is also great in its own way.

Why are they portraying him like Caesar? Do...Do they know what happened to Caesar?

Also, ACTIVELY SEEK OUT PROTESTS IN YOUR AREA because they aren't getting a ton of media coverage in your area but they're HAPPENING. Know the rules of your protest (are permits needed and obtained, etc.) and look up protest safety tips. Bring friends.

The 5calls app is AMAZING for this. I personally get so anxious making phone calls that I have to write a script. 5calls does it for you, on a variety of topics, and gives you your reps' phone numbers, right there.

I'm sure those people will "come around" when that reality finally starts to affect them--when they can't afford groceries or housing or gas or they lose their job or what have you. But I genuinely feel like we're racing the clock and by then it'll be too late. I'm trying not to be alarmist but damn

I've seen people reply with death wishes and hopes for violence against people just for correcting misinformation, multiple times just in the last few days. I mean, how do you combat not just willful ignorance, but staunch determination not to see anything they don't want to?

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears." IT WAS A CAUTIONARY TALE NOT AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL

So many right wingers are so dedicated to being right that when confronted with something no one could reasonably justify they just pretend it's not happening against all proof. The kicker? This particular conversation started because he accused me of only getting info from one party. 🙄

...preempting the discussion with "they can't be liberal" gives him the option to dismiss all proof I post as "liberal" regardless of the source. I once showed this man an actual video & 3 credible news sites that shared it, he said he wouldn't bother watching it because it was "probably doctored."

"Have a good evening" "In this economy?"

Yeah but is that something he actually could do? Like does he have the mental and emotional capacity to do that? Don't get me wrong it would be lovely if a few billionaires would figure that out. I can dream.

I was so bored last night that I flipped through my cable networks (usually I use my cable package to stream specific programs as needed) and Star Trek: Voyager was on. It was my introduction to Star Trek as a kid and I hadn't watched it in probably 20 years. And this was the exact thought I had 😂

Every article I've ever seen about "dead giveaways" of AI are full of shit lol.

We are seeing proof that the republicans' raging hard-on for TEH CONSTITOOSHUN was full of shit from the start. They don't know what's in the document and they don't give a shit if it's followed.

I'm not watching, did I miss something good? :o

Keep trying back if you get a busy tone! I had to call one of my senators' offices about half a dozen times but eventually got through to her VM

I mean honestly I would love to see some elected officials throw hands to defend democracy at this point. I realize we can't actually expect Elizabeth Warren to come in with a steel chair but...you have to admit it would be entertaining

also if you see a website about a “strike” or other large-scale protest, and they ask you to “sign up” by giving your personal information, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION! they are almost certainly honeypots! and any that might not be can easily be compromised!

I want to donate both to organizations that directly support trans people and ones that are doing legal and political work to resist the harm the Trump administration is causing.
