The number of furry artists is not fixed. Artists who can’t make a living here will leave. However If we pay artists fairly, more will join. These new artists would fill in the lower price brackets established artists move out of.

Whenever an artist, especially a prominent one, undercharges it puts downward pressure on prices across the fandom. Making it difficult for even established artists to even afford basic necessities.
