One time, my husband tried to surprise me w/a trip. He enlisted my bestie, mama & even grands to help pull it off. Went so far as to buy new clothes, makeup, etc bc he KNEW I would notice if he packed my stuff. I still asked so many ?s that he ultimately had to just tell me. I think I'm prob safe.

I used to be all “flights over feelings” & “fck it, we ball”. Now, I’m considering a self imposed tape delay for a basketball game so that I can follow the score & have time to mentally prepare myself before seeing it. This is what the current state of our country/world has done to me lol 😭
