Personally, I'd engage in some introspection if a civil rights organization was OK with Woodrow Wilson but not with me.

I read your first book last week. I commented to my wife that your discussion of Maddox was fair, with no cheap shots.

Done. Since they claim they have a mandate, no Democratic help should be needed.

If done on purpose, what is going on now that they are trying to divert attention from? I assume not everything else that has happened this week, but something new.

I just cancelled my sub to Axios San Francisco telling them that the International Hydrographic Organization is responsible for naming the Gulf and they have not made the change. Since Axios is now dealing in propaganda, not facts, they are not a trustworthy source I can rely on.

I pointed out that the International Hydrographic Organization names international bodies of water and they haven't changed the name of the Gulf of Mexico.

By this logic being fired from a government job ruins someone's life. The V-P doesn't want to ruin someone's life because of racist comments but has no problem doing it to people for doing their job.

My financial advisor thought I was overreacting when I told her no U.S. government securities because the First Felon had no regard for legal obligations so at worst he'd default and at best I'd get paid off in some sort of worthless crypto. I'll mention this dodging of financial obligations to her

I do the same. I emailed Target to let him know that in the future I was buying detergent at another store within walking distance that apparently had figured out how to balance security/customer convenience.

It's never a problem for me and if I see an elderly person (translation: someone my age or older) that looks like they need someone to reach something, I'll volunteer. I decided at 14 if I was going to get upset about people commenting about my height that I'd be continuosly ticked off.

On July 4, 2024, he performed at Albany, Oregon. Albany's a lovely, but I'm surprised that's where he performed on that day when he should have been most in demand.

I haven't read all the replies, but the Secretary Educaiton nominee is with the now Republican mayor of Knox County, TN, in this clip. (Glen Jacobs AKA Kane AKA Fake Diesel AKA Unabomb AKA Dr. Isaac Yankem, DDS, along with other nom de guerres.)

This is one of the better appointments in terms of being able to do the job, which is scary since the job is to eliminate the department. I suspected the worst would happen when she was appointed to the cabinet-level SBA in the first administration, but she was one of the best appointees.

I read "The Hobbit" in 10th grade. My new group of friends were really into Tolkein (I think that one is up to reading the trilogy 30 times and he's now reading it to the grandkids.) I read the trilogy once and although that group of friends (still in contact with 2) dearly love it, I'm neutral.

I worked with a guy who was in the Guard and moved to another state. He took a demotion from E-8 to E-7 since that was the only slot open. It might be different for officers, but he was able to sacrifice and continue serving his country.

When I saw the reference to a nominee that was a "clown and a charlatan" I first thought he was referring to another person, though it applies equally.

I think Vince McMahon, past WWE CEO, was brilliant when it came to wrestling, but bad otherwise. In her book "Ringmaster: Vince McMahon and the Unmaking of America" Abraham Reisman says the former president would only demand privacy when speaking to two people, one being McMahon, which is scary.

New York Times best selling author (fiction and nonfiction) Mick Foley is a member of the class of 2013 WWE Hall of Fame, as is the president elect. Also inducted that year was Bob Backlund, failed candidate for the U.S. House, running as an R, in 2000. We need to convince Foley to run for office.

I have watched professional wrestling for decades. The biggest change that I've seen, which also reflects changes in the U.S., is the change in what a babyface (good guy) is then and now. This is exemplied by the president elect being in the WWE Hall of Fame, class of 2013, as a babyface performer
