I did a lot of research for something fun, unique but appropriate for an adult and landed on these. And then half the office went and copied me. Mine is coming with me to the Tonys currently (blatant brag) (blatant bag).

Topo Designs. If they have them in the U.K. I bought a Sandqvist first and it was uncomfortable and looked silly.

Sounds great!

Oh well fuck.

I love it so much. Once you’re finished, Last One Laughing U.K. on Prime has a lot of crossover and is also very entertaining.

we often discuss what's the worst thing to review for a friend (if it's bad):
Book
Screenplay
Band
Play
Movie
Standup.
I think the answer is 'Standup' because it's immediate and they're looking right at you. The rest you can take a run-up at the lie.

if you need help with tickets closer to the time, let me know. I can also highly recommend Benjamin Button, and also Stereophonic (although that's going to be in LA in December).

All this to publicize a terrible movie in which he, too, is terrible.

If you have time, and haven’t seen it yet, I can highly recommend the Benjamin Button musical.

For AFM I stayed in the new Delano tower of the Mandalay Bay and it was very nice and quiet. I hate vegas but that hotel was a balm.

similarly, the coke-flavored Oreos are putrid.

he literally just made a film about trans kids.

I think we consider him an honorary Brit (and indeed the first Dumbledore was not British)
BUT i can't for the life of me imagine why anyone in their right mind would want to work on this. Lithgow just made a film which is all about trans/nonbinary young people, for fucks sake.

Ludwig drops on there in March, I think. Fantastic show.

Patrick Marber just directed a new version at the Menier in London which got great reviews. Maybe a west end then Broadway transfer?

My gripe: Oscar hosts with little to no interest in movies.

i long for a bcc-type 'grenade' email function, whereby you can email a group of people, but are automatically removed from any replies. A kind of 'deal with this' situation.

a new, young employee once emailed everyone at Goldman Sachs in the UK (5,000 people) and it was a mix of embarrassment and schadenfreude which powered me through the year. My favorite response, among the hundreds, being 'please don't take me off this chain, I love it'

Chabon since adapted it for TV himself and the script is excellent. But seemingly no one wanted to make it.

I don't know if you've watched any of Mark Gatiss' creepy BBC christmas specials. Crooked House particularly made me weak at the knees (and in fact had to switch it off and watch it in the daytime).

Same. It's so serious and doom-laden and no fun at all. Corrin might give the worst performance I've seen all year, but I didn't care for anyone in it, apart from the Count himself (although with the mustache he looks a bit like someone who sits in a pub banging on about their WWII memorabilia).

Julia Fox giving a pretty impressive one-scene performance too. Really liked the movie.

I can't wait for this to be my Christmas Day double bill with Babygirl. It would have been Nosferatu but having now seen that, Nothankyu.

Some of the shittier companies use the ‘unsubscribe’ button to confirm your email and then spam you more. You’ll have to block them. I have the same issue with ‘Cooking Daily’

They can all cook! And the tone of the challenges is a little more 'let's see how they can do' rather than 'let's ruin their fun'. I like.

I just did the Cross City Trek a couple of weeks ago, which is a killer but great fun. Pretty.
