I grew up as a teenager in the 70s in a town of 10k in central eastern Illinois. There was NO color blindness there. As a matter of fact, there was a sign that read WHITES ONLY that hung above the drinking fountain in the county courthouse until the middle 70s. I hated and still hate my hometown.
