I’m a CPA and I’ve prepared lots of tax returns for dead people. I’ve never seen anyone who didn’t get their SSI cutoff at the end of the month BEFORE they die. If you get your SSI check for March on Feb 28th, and die March 30th, SSA will claw back the full amount.
