Trans rights are human rights. People who refuse to acknowledge the identity and agency of any other human, or to erase their existence or strip them of their confidence to be who they are should be called what they are: Bigots, but bigot isn’t a strong enough word. We need something stronger.

This is more than just absurd. My teen daughter wants to be a marine biologist. As a man who went to uni for Geology and CompSci, nobody ever undermined my ambitions or called me names. How can we help support girls in STEM more? It seems like bullying starts so early. 🥺 Girls can do anything!!

We need to leverage every foot of that runway. Now to find the right plane..

If only All Dressed versus Ketchup was the toughest battle of our era…. (John Lennon’s Imagine plays quietly in the background) All Dressed is delicious as well, but I can’t find a brand that is the definitive flavor profile. All the brands taste so different. Any recommendations?

I don’t believe there was a voting machine conspiracy. I believe people were indoctrinated by their party’s oversimplified lore, the media divided us like never before and we are so used to hearing lies that we’ve lost faith in the very concept of truth. Our own apathy and ennui allowed tyranny.

What would everyone think of a Walz/Buttigieg ticket?

I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear: -MLK. Also ketchup chips are the focking greatest!!

I loved this scene and episode. Such a great show!

The amount of detective work and research that must go into books like yours must be immense! But the stories of ordinary people in extraordinary times bring history to life.

This sounds intriguing. I will certainly check it out! I recently spent some time reading “The Underground Railroad Records” by William Still. Those personal stories of the freed slaves, unsung heroes and revolutionary abolitionists in Philadelphia made that dark period of US history real.

Yes. There is way too much apathy on all sides. It’s been going on forever. Not an exact quote, but Plato “The price of apathy towards public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.” Thomas Jefferson’s view was like “When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty.” Not sure if we are there yet.

That would be confusing, intense, and traumatizing. But I’d buy it.

With my luck I’d accidentally buy the one narrated in Proto-Elamite.

The people can only hold it in for so long. There will be an uncomfortable gurgle at first, then urgent pressure, then frantic panic, Oh God!! I can’t hold it in any longer! Then before you know it you must shower and change your shorts. Then you learn to never buy gas station oysters again.

Stay strong! There are lots of us with you! Shop local, support local, dine local!! If you can’t find it local, support independent markets, small businesses, or ethical shops elsewhere.

I think there are a lot of second amendment folk that will come to their senses. There is still a deep current of freedom and democracy that will be very difficult to quash. Apathy in the face of tyranny is the biggest enemy. Red state financial ruin and suffering will disrupt that apathy.

This is a really great list. As long as Jasmine Crockett gets a cabinet post I’m good with them all. I think a Walz/Buttigieg ticket would be hard to beat.

Sadly, I think this is just the start. 😔. (Will they also cancel Cis White Male History events??? I was so looking forward to celebrating at the Subjugation of Indigenous Peoples Gala and the Systematic Dismantling of Non-Hetero Agency carnival.)/s It is truly sad it has come to this.

It looks like Idiocracy strikes again. That movie is too damned prescient. I predict that soon movies will have an alternate genAI audio track that you can listen to that will have all same conceptual dialogue but in fifth-grade level vocab and a helper narrator that explains what things mean.

Now if only there was a novelization based on Brooks’ Dracula: Dead and Loving It.

Et tu, Marco Rubio?

If I wanted to accuse you of that, could you just drop the title in here just to make sure I’m accusing you of the right thing. Also a link to your retailer of choice. Just to make sure I can complain and stuff. Also a link to give you a positive review would be so egregious!

Normal text like the Constitution and Bill of Rights for example.

So from my IT infrastructure experience. Hardware spam filters have fixed quarantine email capacities. Additionally, Bayesian filters can be fooled by “spammers” who use large amounts of legitimate text. Attachments will usually get you filtered. You want to text it to death. With normal stuff.

My biggest fear is that this becomes so normalized that women and girls willingly abandon personal agency, power, and freedom of choice because they think it is just expected. Live this way if you want, but It should NEVER be the default.

This is indeed startling. Being complacent with this regression to 1950’s patriarchy means supporting a social system where men have innate power over women. This is dangerous to everyone. Just why??
