The sliding doors moment was the Champions League Final defeat, the choice to invest to kick on or a static retreat into decline, Spurs ambition was summed up that summer. They stumbled into a good manager and team and never had the ambition to build on that luck

Sold out Nth Syd Oval last week, and a Sixers finals game incoming at some point this week. Been a lot of cricket in Sydney in the last 3 weeks. Thought the crowd was good and noisy.

No-one is corrupt. They are just not very good. Virgil raked Solanke's calf, the goal was disallowed by a mm that they could have let stand. We were dudded at the weekend by a clear handball. It happens.

There’s a big question about Postecoglou’s culpability for some injuries — esp vdV & Romero — but that back five makes it genuinely tricky to judge him on today IMO. Intriguing to see Maddison, Bissouma & Son benched in the circumstances.
