Thank you Kim Johnson 👏

The lies just roll off his tongue.

I don't want to hear "we can't afford it" one more time from Labour. Not while they continue to reinforce their Brexit red lines. The amount of money being left on the table by not seeking to rejoin the EU is eye-watering. The tax lost to Brexit would have paid for everything Labour needed.

This is insane by Yvette Cooper. Spray-painting planes is not terrorism. Criminal damage, yes - but you cannot “terrorise” inanimate objects. It does not serve to cause terror in victims. Therefore it is not terrorism. The authoritarian Home Secretary has lost the plot.

Nine years ago the godfather of Brexit, Lord Daniel Hannan, predicted life in Brexit Britain in June 2025. Roll the tape… (VO by @gavinesler.bsky.social. Part 2 below👇)

@yvettecooper-mp.bsky.social you have abused your power and wrongly declared Palestine Action a terrorist group. Israel is a terrorist state engaging in genocide that you fail to acknowledge. You are not worthy of being a government minister or an MP. Resign!

“Whether it is Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch or Nigel Farage, no Westminster politician should have the ability to deny Scotland her right to national self-determination.” Read @johnswinney.bsky.social’s speech to the Scotland 2050 conference here 👇 www.snp.org/putting-scot...

Reform UK’s plans to obstruct green energy projects in Lincolnshire put at risk almost £1bn in local investment and more than 12,000 jobs, How many people analysed policies before voting for Reform, the party that also voted against worker rights.

Who is exploiting us? Large companies, banks, and landlords are, and not the people our politicians love to blame. youtu.be/vqdC9cL-Q5I?...

If we survive until 2040, we might see £4.5billion added to these nations' economies to make up for oor £140 billion loss by 2024 🙄 We need to Rejoin the EU to get oor Freedom of Movement back. Scottish Independence is the way The India/Uk deal screws workers, it'll be cheaper not to employ us

Nigel Farage wants pupils being indoctrinated like a typical fascist not taught how to think which is what real education is about

Really startling when you see how some people can't tell the difference between the UK union and the EU. One is a dominant union the other a co-operative union.

Immigration is not the problem it’s now widely believed to be. Brexit is much more of a problem than it’s reported to be. So how can govt achieve growth, fix public svcs and deal with the cost of living if fear of Reform means it won’t be honest with us about these 2 elephants in the room? It can’t.

Hey @theguardian.com England is not Britain. Britain is not England. Scotland and NI voted Remain. This is - as so often - careless journalism from the Grauniad.

My husband has taught human reproduction and development to the Cambridge medics for over three decades. When people start banging on about "only two biological sexes" he starts with "which sex: genetic, hormonal, or gonadal"? Biological sex is not binary. www.scientificamerican.com/article/sex-...

So its worth saving steel in England but not the oil refinery in Scotland, WM are an English Government MPs face choice on British Steel in first Saturday recall of parliament in 43 years www.thenational.scot/news/2508496...

Number of people who go bankrupt every year because of medical bills or illness-related work loss: Australia 0 Canada 0 Denmark 0 Finland 0 France 0 Germany 0 Iceland 0 Ireland 0 Italy 0 Japan 0 Netherlands 0 Norway 0 Portugal 0 Spain 0 Sweden 0 UK 0 United States 530,000 There’s a lesson there.

Treasury Minister, Say thank you for the Barnet Formula 😡, how dare they, this isn't a gift. it's OUR own money sent down to WM and only a fraction sent bk. Any Scot who continues to accept this disrespectful 😤 attitude, should be ashamed.

Did anybody really expect anything different? The fact that this isn't shocking shows how far standards have fallen; all adided by the compliant right wing media.

Nicola Sturgeon says Starmer and Reeves “wrong” on Europe #Scotland #Brexit #EU

Do we need more QE? Mo. Do we need the government to admit that QE was simply it borrowing from the Bank of England, and that it will need to do more of that to get us through the crisis heading our way? Yes, most definitely we do. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/04...

This is a brilliant and crucial article about the demonisation of empathy by @joolia.bsky.social (Julia Carrie Wong). It's a reminder that there is no idea so perverse that some people won't turn it into a doctrine. www.theguardian.com/us-news/ng-i...

I see bbc website @bbcnewsnight.bsky.social uncritically accepting Trump ‘s lies about 50 countries wanting to negotiate on tariffs. Typical of the failed right-wing institution

The world is in economic meltdown. It is glaringly obvious that Rachel Reeves needs to reset all her policies, every one of which was set for an era now gone. But will she? Don’t hold your breath. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/04...

"The public sees the sense in Europe, and Labour sees it too but is still too nervous. The hard-right cannot be appeased, it can only be faced down by strong leadership and a strong democratic mandate from the people."

Neoliberalism has failed, but the Labour government is wedded to it. No wonder they’re so frightened. They realise that we might rumble that they, too, are a bunch of failures. youtu.be/rdm0ntUEwdc?...

The irony of Americans electing a fascist because they were more concerned about getting lower grocery prices than saving democracy and then they end up losing democracy AND getting higher grocery prices 🤦🏽‍♂️

Neoliberal thinking is deeply dangerous. People who believe in it do, as a result, detach themselves from the realities that exist in the world. There is a description for that detachment from reality, which is that it is madness. That's what we are witnessing. www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2025/04...

Seems that, especially for younger voters, Westminster's infamous Powergrab of Scotland's devolved powers is either forgotten or unknown. Perhaps this brief summary of the history may prove useful, though since this was designed the overruling of Holyrood by Westminster has got MUCH worse.

If there was any doubt, the right wing press reaction to the Le Pen verdict and sentence confirms their only interest in the courts and rule of law is for prosecuting those with which they disagree.

I'd have hoped the Scots were savvy enough to see through Farage but then I thought the same about Scots seeing through Labour and their lies.🤷‍♀️
