ive been here with you for many years the question then becomes what is the true use of these apps, and is that usage netting positive impact? if “counter resistance” is loud and unfettered, and misinformation is abounding, and communities are not media literate, what are we actually doing here?

I have so much to say about everything here, but the first is THANK YOU. two things come to mind 1. Doomerism is a reaction the masses havent been taught/mentored how to work out of. The mindset we seem to share is usually gifted or taught 2. What IS unprecedented is the Anthropocene of it all

Complaining about what should have happened is not a sufficient answer to the question "What should we do now?" Blaming people for not knowing better doesn't actually help move the needle now. Like call it out, and the MOVE. bsky.app/profile/itsa...

Does this look like going to the library instead of a cafe to do your remote work? Does look like funding abortion clinics? Does this look like funding organizations providing refuge for LGBTQ+ people? Does this look like encouraging minorities to apply to college and paying for their ACT?

Does this look like buying and teaching Black authors books in after school programs (like in FL)? Does this look like a mass exodus from social media sites that don't fact check? Does this look like joining a mutual aid network or funding a couple goFundmes? Passing "Know Your Rights" cards?

Goals. Been gardening for some years now, and have had my eyes on the Master Gardener program….soon as I find a chunk of time, I’m leveling up!
