Trans people were lied to?? Using services based on “self ID” (the gender role in which they present) regardless of GRC is right there in the EHRC’s 2011 Code of Practice. It’s in the EHRC’s own 2022 guidance. The Labour Gov recognised this too a matter of months ago. This is horrific gaslighting.

And since you made that decision, more and more evidence has come out to show 1.) The Cass review which triggered all this isn't worth the paper it's written on and 2.) These are the kind of people behind the puberty blockers ban. And yet everyone is still pretending the decision wasn't political.

Didn't anyone at that debate say how odd it is for an EHRC Commissioner to say that the statutory code of practice written by the EHRC and in force for almost 15 years was actually a lie?

You can't both have rights that you have to give away and also be lied to about having those rights. If trans people didn't have them already, they wouldn't have to take them away.

What absolute drivel. I'm in my 40s and all of my similarly aged cis women friends are supportive of trans rights. Stop pretending this tiny minority of bigots represent our voices - they don't!

How does she not realise how fucking weird and creepy she sounds?

I'm struggling this week. I feel so screwed over by the NHS. Then there's the constant media vitriol. And the news about whats going on in the US with the FBI. It's exhausting and scary. But here I am, pulling through somehow. It helps a little to know others get it, even if it doesn't fix it.

She still has some dysphoria around her body now she is older, but she's generally a happy kid. I'm glad about that, but its insane it blocked us from accessing the NHS - and this was pre-puberty blockers ban.

Anecdotal, but I affirmed my kid pre-puberty, once it became clear to me she was who she said she was. When we finally reached CAHMs they turned us away and wouldn't refer us on to GIDs because she was too mentally healthy for therapy so there was "nothing" they could do for us. :/

It's horrendous, isn't it. I'm so angry at the state right now. They are making both mine and my child's life so much harder. I just want to keep my kid safe and happy, the state wants to actively harm them then blame me for it. And seeing what's happening in the US makes me scared for our future.

The two "experts" are cranks. It's like referring to RFK as an "expert" when deciding public health policy. This is one of them: www.erininthemorning.com/p/abusive-pr...

A good history of just how appalling Kaltiala is here. She spent ten years in a position of power in trans healthcare ensuring that young trans people's experiences were awful, and then wrote a study on how awful they were. Conclusion first, justification later. www.assignedmedia.org/breaking-new...
