This is a terrifying statistic. And I suspect a direct line can be drawn between the supreme court uk ruling on the FWS case and these numbers.

The Independent put Wes Streeting on their Pride list. Is that some kind of joke? They couldn't even think of 10 LGBT people who weren't actively campaigning against LGBT rights? Unbelievable www.independent.co.uk/lgbt/pride-l...

The EHRC Guidance is a wicked exercise in removing rights from trans people - and is bad too for employers and service providers, those outside gender norms, people with disabilities and the economy. We've created a tool to make it easy to respond. Please use and share. goodlaw.social/9e59e9

BBC 7 Jun 25 -- The most decorated Olympic gymnast in history, 11-time medal winner Simone Biles, calls out one-time 5th place collegiate finisher Riley Gaines: "You're truly sick, all of this campaigning because you lost a race. Straight up sore loser..." @rikiwilchins.bsky.social

BBC con't -- "You should be uplifting the trans community and perhaps finding a way to make sports inclusive...But instead… You bully them. One thing's for sure is no one in sports is safe with you around!!!!!” Thank you, Simone. @rikiwilchins.bsky.social

We should celebrate trans lives, in their splendour and variety, as evidence of what human life can be, containing multitudes. I came to understand this so late and so slowly, perhaps because my own life as a cis, straight husband and father is so conventional. And I'm still learning it now.

A mere "50 hours community service" for a man who violently attacked his pregnant partner and is "unable to find fault in his own behaviour". There is something seriously, seriously wrong with our legal system. Where are the so-called "Women's Rights" protestors now?!

Am pleased to say we have now issued in the High Court our claim against the EHRC. Its position on toilets is, we believe quite clearly, unlawful. goodlaw.social/20ku

Here in Scotland a member of Parliament is claiming that the Pride flag is homophobic. Can someone explain these through-the-looking-glass mental and linguistic contortions please because this culture war bullshit seems just intellectually impenetrable to me. Is up now also down? Is black now white?

🚨🚨CALL TO ACTION🚨🚨 The new EHRC chair candidate, Dr Mary-Ann Stephenson, has a history of transphobic actions. MPs *must* scrutinze her. Sign the open letter and use the template to email the WEC to demand MPs protect trans rights! docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... docs.google.com/document/d/1...

The EHRC is just the body for implementing more transphobia they don’t do anything else and has been filled with people to achieve that. And the Guardian who published a TERF just yesterday is complicit. www.dumptheguardian.com/society/2025...

ANYONE who thinks ANY group should accept fewer human rights than everyone else is totally unfit to serve as an EHRC commissioner.

We're aware that some Local Authority social services - egged on by Wes Streeting and the NHS - are harassing loving families with trans children. We have commissioned legal advice from a leading firm on how to deal with those Local Authorities. goodlaw.social/25re

People say that transphobes are solely obsessed with genitals, but that's untrue. They hate trans people regardless. What they really care about is a notion of *birthright*. Their whole belief system is literally that people should be defined entirely by the circumstances of their birth.

Jodey Whiting - a 42 year old disabled mum - died in 2017, leaving a note saying she had no money for food. Now, a new inquest has ruled Jodey killed herself after her benefits were “mistakenly stopped by the DWP.” Thoughts to Jodey’s mum who fought for justice. www.theguardian.com/society/2025...

Some good news!

As the parent of a trans kid in the UK I feel like I'm living in a pressure cooker right now and they just keep turning the pressure up. And in this environment we are expected to keep going to work, cook dinners, help with schoolwork, do the laundry, etc. as if everything is "fine". I am drained.

Potentially controversial therapy thread! 🧵 The difference between "conversion therapy" and regular therapy in a context where there's no access to gender-affirming care is barely more than semantic. Doing therapy with someone who uses your pronouns is not a substitute for medical transition.

Only the likes of Streeting and Starmer would allow someone with this level of class influence healthcare and human rights policy

Abuse isn't like an all or nothing, it starts subtle, and includes things like cutting people off from their support network, chipping away at their self-esteem, gaslighting them into questioning their own experiences, so by the time it becomes overwhelming the person feels trapped.

If I want apples and you want oranges a compromise is "let's pool our resources and buy both so our needs are met" If I want apples and you want to shoot me in the head, the compromise can't be "I get an apple but you get one free shot at me"

Delighted to see our #NION letter gaining traction at 13.5k signatures. 25k by Monday? I want to address a question/criticism I've seen about our wording. To women upset that we describe ourselves as cis women and refusing to sign on that basis I ask you to reconsider. Please read on...

Keep sharing this to all the cis women you know, your sisters, your friends, mums and ask them to share. Let's fight back against cis women being used as a weapon against the trans+ community. Not In Our Name 13,684 verified signatures and rising by the second www.change.org/p/not-in-our...

Thank you Lush UK!

Any time evangelical attitudes towards LGBTQ ppl come up (like today with the Swedish anti-trans doctor) I feel like it really goes missing that: LGBTQ Christians exist and have a right to the enjoyment of their beliefs and practices without being spiritually abused by anti-LGBTQ Christians for it.

I made a new zine! It's full of advice on how allies can work alongside trans people to take action in the current moment, lovingly cut-and-pasted over the words of my enemies. Plus lots of nice pictures and memes. Available as a free PDF! Read online or print your own copy! Share with everyone!

if you purchase anything "Harry Potter" you are funding this. I for one plan on unsubscribing from HBO/Max as soon her damned reboot is set for release...

Prof Jovanna Dahlgren and Prof Riitakertuu Kaltiala are, in case you hadn't guessed, open campaigners against trans rights in Sweden and Finland. The "new evidence" contradicts decades of existing evidence saying the opposite, because it was commissioned to do so. Malpractice in real time.

Worth noting that this is also what the UK government review found, it just ignored all the evidence in its conclusions.

To mark the 1st day of my 4th year without Alice I have an announcement: I’ve joined up with a determined group of women working to change the narrative around trans people. Women standing in solidarity with our trans siblings. Our first step is to ask cis women to read and sign our open letter ⬇️
