A FedEx board member will now be running the USPS. That’s going to entirely predictable places.

[professor Farnsworth from Futurama voice] Good news, everyone!

I cannot express enough how much these people actively hate the U.S. Constitution and would tear it into shreds if they were permitted.

This rhymes with 'stop the COVID tests' - Trump is stopping NOAA tracking of weather disaster expenses. "The information is generally seen as standardized & unduplicable, given ..access to non-public data, & other private databases would be more limited... www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

I haven’t forgotten about Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Have you? Republicans are hoping people forget.

Does this make you feel safer? Me either.

ICE agents in Worcester, Massachusetts arrested a mother outside of her home with her newborn baby and 16 year old daughter. The 16 year old stood in front of the ICE vehicle holding the baby. She handed the baby to a neighbor & fled. Police caught up to her, in a heartbreaking scene.⬇️

Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, NY’s oldest law firm, has found that its $100-million pro bono deal with Trump is backfiring as angry employees jump ship. It made the deal to avoid punitive damages from Trump’s executive orders targeting firms he said were “weaponizing” the legal system against him.

This is super important: @alannavagianos.bsky.social interviewed a history professor about how authoritarian regimes use pro-natalism to trap women in the home. Really, don't miss this one: www.huffpost.com/entry/gop-pr...

I hope everyone understands that we are the baddies

Every single day this unqualified trainwreck stays in this job is another day our troops are at greater risk. Hegseth needs to be fired before these security breaches get someone killed. apnews.com/article/hegs...

So Trump said today he was “joking” when he said he was going to end the war in 24 hours? Does he sound like he’s joking here?

NYT: One estimate finds that DOGE’s “firings, re-hirings, lost productivity and paid leave of thousands of workers” will actually COST taxpayers “upward of $135 billion this fiscal year.” @nytimes.com 🤡 www.nytimes.com/2025/04/24/u...

Fears grow that Signal leaks make Pete Hegseth top espionage target

Yes. And do so not for the sake of those of us you berated but because, like David Brooks, your very failure in the past gives you credibility with many whom you misled now. If you were wrong, you have an opportunity to do a whole lot of right by saying so now.

Surprised that randomly imposing punitive tariffs on every country on earth, pausing some of them, and then trying to strike ad hoc “deals” isn’t working out

I hosted a panel in Farmington, Missouri tonight. A huge turnout. This is Jason Smith’s district. They are not happy about those CECOT pictures he posted…

We just wanted to keep you all updated estimates are now approaching 4 million. Incredible job pulling this off on a holiday weekend! It was tough to get accurate counts today because small towns showed up in force. Some states had record-breaking turnout we didn’t expect this includes

So, Trump saw the protests, then. 💙🇺🇲😏

ICE officers are now reportedly required to meet arrest quotas each day, from a few hundred to between 1,200 and 1,500 nationwide. Jonathan Blitzer reports on the mystery of the agency’s unidentifiable arrests.

Morning Bluesky. A draft Executive Order seen by the NYT suggests the US is about to abandon Africa, which would be a big win for Russia and China. The drastic overhaul of the State Department would eliminate almost all African operations and close embassies and consulates.

Turns out you can shape the agenda with dramatic action and maybe even shift public opinion. Crazy.

Honestly, me too.

Make it make sense

L - The official photo from the Kremlin of US Special Envoy @SteveWitkoff putting his hand over his heart as he greets his friend Vladimir Putin again this week. R - Putin’s latest missile attack killing at least 21 people, including 7 children, on Palm Sunday. Putin’s stooge.

As of today, it is cheaper to import a fully-built computer than it is to import the parts and build it in the U.S. Just an incredible strategy to bring assembly lines back to the U.S.

Trump's EPA just moved to reverse state and local bans on toxic "forever chemicals" that can lead to birth defects and cancer.  So much for "Make America Healthy Again." https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2025/apr/05/trump-pfas-toxic-forever-chemicals

This seems right, and all of this is WRONG.

This is happening in spite of the fact that the president is not in charge of the Smithsonian. It's not an executive branch government agency, rather it's chartered by Congress and under a board of regents created by statute, none of whom are even appointed by the president.

Sure. Tell Grandma to just head on over to X to sign up for her benefits.

If Kristi Noem can go down to El Salvador and take concentration camp selfies, then DOJ can figure out where Abrego Garcia is. Just start jailing people for contempt of court until they find out.

“paid for by cruise ship fees” is exactly why health officials should not be baffled tbh

I love this! 👇🏻
