I really don't get why US journalists can't fathom that Trump is supporting Putin after Trump spent 1st term fawning over him. Consider when Trump said he believed Putin over US Intel in Helsinki (2018). This "journalism" feels performative now. Trump has been consistently pro-Russian for years.
