Sadly no. I wish I did.

Generative AI creates nothing new and steals from real people in the process. I would never support any use of it based on that merit alone, never mind the environmental impacts.

As much as I'm in favor of spamming stuff like this, there is no legit use case for generative AI.

We don't use AI. One time AI unknowingly showed up in one of our stock photos we used and people correctly yelled at us until we took it down and figured out how it happened. We employ human artists who breathe and eat and make stuff with their corporeal limbs and brains.

Then again, the main artists are considered features to the label itself and every song was mastered separately, so some songs have nice dynamic range while others are completely squished beyond belief. It's jarring to listen to in full. I shouldn't be shocked the credits aren't comprehensive.

Oh shoot. I read that as you BEING 16 at that point. Plus I would have been like 14, what am I saying? I just woke up not ten minutes ago, bare with me lmao

Also, side note, I was so much more immediately devastated when Trump got in the first time too. I was 16 or so as well and it was my wake up call that good people don't always win out, but that they should and we should make sure that's the case.
Last fall, though, I was more disgusted than mad...

Exactly!! Let out those emotions, they're natural. It's why I make angry music, to channel those emotions in what I hope is a healthy way. You just gotta be aware of yourself and know when it's appropriate/needed.

You don't just kick someone to the curb immediately, even if you have to rethink how you approach and perceive them. It's okay to be disgusted by someone's views and who they vote for, but I believe you should always TRY to give these people grace.

I don't hate the individual workers, of course, but I can't be gracious towards the profession as a whole when it contributes so much to climate destruction. While I wouldn't point my vitriol at the workers, I think the industry itself deserves nothing but.

I... I feel very stupid for being unsure which party this ad was for until the end. The guy comes off so bad I thought the liberals might have been trying to make fun of people who argue these points.

Please do, Steve. So many people I meet aren't opposed to generative Ai and it's so infuriating, yet exhausting at the same time.

Knew that's what you would hone in on instead of anything else I actually said.
Thanks for the dose of infighting. I just hope you don't talk to everyone in such an antagonistic way, and disregard their points for arbitrary reasons. It's not at all productive.

Either way, in the absence of someone better, I would pick the least-worst option. It's an attempt at damage control, not an endorsement.
No need to attack a fellow leftist and call me conservative for wanting to mitigate the harm caused. I can imagine it turning people away from progressive ideas.

I wasn't trying to be disingenuous in the slightest.
I would have loved to protest then and now, but putting roadblocks in my personal life aside, I do not reside in the USA. While I will advocate for Palestine when and where I can, I could not have swayed the candidates chosen in your country.

Apologies, I wasn't trying to put words in your mouth. That said, I don't appreciate being attacked for trying to have a good faith conversation. What do you think the right call was during the election period, if not choosing the lesser of two evils in an attempt at damage control?

I'm likely feeding a troll, but at no point did I justify her stances or Biden's actions. I'm asking why you believe things are better as they are, considering both candidates were against aiding Gaza, and the eventual victor is even more fascistic than the democrats would have been, had they won.

So is this timeline, where Trump is continuing to reign terror on Palestine AS WELL AS his own country, the best outcome in your eyes?

"we still want to debate whether trans people should exist, we just want to do it politely."
They still don't understand why this debate exists in the first place. It was kicked up by bad actors to enable the very actions they're now decrying. The NYT still doesn't understand the moment.

Damn, I just got to watching it earlier today and it was great. It's Google so I'm not surprised, but that doesn't make it any less awful. What was the video taken down for the first time, may I ask?

Hey I'm not defending the liberals or the NDP leader rn, but voting conservative instead of them as some sort of vein "gotcha" only gives power to those who want to misuse it.

but even so, TikTok is a huge chunk of the attention economy and while it getting banned might upset some of the most annoying people you know it also does real financial damage while bolstering the worst people you know (Zuckerberg and musk)
